Well it kinda can't be red...because my sketch is red. xD Gunna have to be a diff colour

But I'm sketching out a ref sheet for one of my OCs (A lioness) and...for some reason it seems REALLY off...I can't tell what but SOMETHING does...

Would anyone mind helping me by going over and correcting mistakes? c:

It'd be...really appreciated if anyone wouldn't mind :o

It's supposed to be like...a serious stance, looking over stuff and the likes but...the legs, the body, everything seems wonky o.e

perhaps the length should be longer and the buffness should be lowered

other than the buffness then, the hind leg looks kinda awkward. i would look at the lioden fanart for reference.

The tail needs to be longer and there is no hair tuft on the tip of the tail for females :D

This is v rough so,, i wouldn't follow the lines exactly aha

But the main thing i noticed was the stiffness of the back - most lions will have a slight dip in their spines from hind to fore legs. The legs are a tad bit short, and are usually quite straight when in a neutral position annd the tail is also a bit too small :>

I adore how good your hind leg looks though lmao <33

//im no wiz in anatomy - so im pretty sure theres 138 mistakes in my sketch aha

Based on what I know, the main issues seem to be that the feet are a bit too short and the back doesn't usually slope downwards like a german shepherd, but curves back up at the hind legs.

I hope this helps somehow c:

EDIT: I'm a dummy and forgot about this, but you usually can't see a lioness' chest from the side view because it doesn't really extrude out like a canine's. Usually you can only see chest fur.

From what I can see in your sketch, you should make the knee a little more bent as well, since that leg looks very stiff.
But the rest looks fine! The main issues here are only the sloped back and the stiff leg.
I think that if you did some construction lines, it would help immensely. Like this:

The legs I drew look a bit canine, but I just did this to show how I sketch legs. It really helps a lot to think of it in "chunks"
