Setting: African Planes Plot: For some reason the water that ran through the rivers slowly disappeared. The lushes African planes that homed thousands of animals, has become an almost desert like place. With the water and food slowly disappearing, the heat isn’t the only thing rising. Prides from all around have migrated with the herds of animals. They left their territories. Some have had cubs and even elder lions die. Even Leopards, cheetahs and Hyena’s have followed the last remaining food source. Fights break out daily, blood and fill life. What will these days bring for these prides, will they combine to be stronger? Will they kill to survive, or for fun? Will new Hybrids be born? Will they ever find out what happened to the water…… Prides: There can be up to three Prides! ( First come first serve) Whats in a pride? Since no one eles has posted i think we can start))) King Cronos: He looked over the lands, his paws againts the dusty dryed up dirt. They had only moved there a couple days ago. " At least there is food." He noticed his queen coming back from a hunt. Arella: " Another unsucsessful hunt" She growled as she walked to her king." How was your nap...." He walked to her side and stretched his front legs out. He tried not nose her softly. Arella: " Another lion!" She hissed. Her tail flicking back and forth rapidly. " We have to prepare for an attack! You never know who might be larking around.." She looked around nervous like, and swiped at Cronos when he tried to nose her. " I will have none of that..." She grumbled and walked away. Shory: She waited for Arella to leave before speaking up. " You are right sir, while we were out hunting i had seen another female. She was defiantly not a adolescent." Drakion stalked the desolated plains. Earth crumbled and cracked around his feet, and the sun bit and clawed at his fur and skin. Delilah had gone ahead to scout of prey, but though she was still close enough to see, her absence from his side made him wary of his surroundings. He had found a small polecat carcass awhile back, and even though the bones had cracked from the brittle heat, and any scraps there might have been were stolen away by a scavenger, the scent of an enemy lion's desperation and hunger coated the bone. He lifted his head to the evening wind. The air was cooler, but it still stung his eyes. There was the scent again, about a mile away. There was another smell too, but this one was one of another male lion, and a dominant one too. As he sniffed the wind to get more of the scent, Delilah came up and nose nudged him; she had smelled it too. "What should we do?" she asked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yomnar nodded a moment before picking something up on the wind, something his nose knew was food " this way come on quickly! " he said and looped a few minutes before stopping totally catching a different scent, he hunkered down and hid his large body in the tall dry yellow grass and waited for Siberia Catching word from him she trotted out behind him looking and checking for more then just prey scents, lions where around as she could scent a few miles possibly away from them, she got up close to Yomnar and settled down besides him "..I can scent other lions Yomnar...now's a good time to leave before they catch us.." not that she wouldn't fight for her ground but also she'd do it for her pride 0 players like this post! Delilah lifted her nose and her eyes widened. "Food. Lots of it." She said, turning to her king. Drakion lifted his head. 'Gazelle' he thought. Easy enough to bring down, and a good meal for the two of them. They glanced at each other before standing, and making their way in the direction of the prey. "Drakion?" "Yes Delilah?" "The other pride will be there. There's no question." "I know." Drakion said He didn't want a confrontation, well not a bad one. If a meeting turned into a fight, in the end neither side would win. He watched Shorty run away, sighing softly he hung his head. His ear twitched as he herd Arella ranting to one of the other lionesses in there pride, he turned his head to look at her and smiled." She has gotten moody since the pregnancy." Arella: She had gone venting to the other lionesses about there failed hunt, and about other lions." Can you be leave this, im going to be raising cubs this close to such filth...." She laid down, obviously not noticing that no one was paying any attention to her. Shorty: She nodded to her king and smiled proudly being nosed, she then turned and darted off, close to the last watering hole for miles, she knew this was wear she had seen many other lions. Siberia stopped in her tracks, nose telling her to stop and check her surroundings, there was scents of Pruett male lions, thank god her cub was in his own pride " somethings not right " Yomnar being as low as he was he still watched our for his links l lioness's behind 0 players like this post! As their weary heads peaked over the ridge, they were refreshed by the simple sight of water, though it wasn't the almost crystal pool they had in their original territory, it was still better than any odd looking bird, or wandering lioness. Gathered around the waterhole, there was a decent sized number of gazelle, at least for this desperate time. Many were stumbling to the water, and the ones that had already made it were resting in cool mud. They were both desperate for a drink, but Drakion stopped Delilah from racing down the hill to the waterhole. "You would spook the prey." He said "I know it will be difficult, but food will have to come first." Delilah sighed, she was thirsty; but she knew that her king was right. If she spooked the prey, than they would have no food. So hunt first, drink later. About two minutes after Delilah had started stalking down the slope, Drakion caught the odd scent of another lion. He hummed. It was female, and from the almost silent crunching of grass, a small one. Perhaps an adolescent? He nonchalantly tilted his head, and out of the corner of his eye he spotted the nearly invisible body of the lion he had smelled. ( I write a lot as you can see) 0 players like this post! Like? |

( Thats alright, sometimes i come up with like almost pages, and some times a small paragraph ) King cronos: He walked over to his queen, whom was laying under an old tree. Its leaves were almost all gone. Not due to winter. He walked over and nussled up beside her. " Arella my dear, it will be fine." He grew more relaxed when Arella did, but that was soon interrupted. Arella: " Were is Shorty?" Her ears perked softly as she looked around She galnced to Cronos and saw him not worried. " Cronos were is she....." She began to growl furiously as she was told to not worry. " No worry? She is one of our strongest Adolescents, and you send her out there on her own!!!" She stomped off flicking her tail wildly, she headed out to go find Shorty, though in her state she was much slower at running." Cruse the blessing of new life..." Shorty: She had stalked these lions best she could, keeping quiet, yet in her inexperience she had seen she was noticed. And yet they hadent made advances towards her. She raised her head slowly out of the tall brown grasses, she was hesitant to say anything at first. But didnt want the lions to get the wrong Idea. " I mean no harm." Her tail flicked softly. Yomnar wondered what today would hold as he listened to the noises, his body color blinded in with the grass he laid in Siberia hating her pelt is abnormal fur drawing light when most others would be tan, and sighed slightly more but stopped again to sniff the breeze { !!! Lioness } her mood changed know recently from her nice mellow to the on guard and rough 0 players like this post! Like? |
