Stella was having a dream of beaches and oceans, relaxing in paradise, when her alarm went off. Her eyes slowly opened and she reached over to her nightstand, slamming down her hand on the alarm, turning it off. She took a deep breath and sat up, rubbing her eyes gently and getting up. After picking out some blue scrubs she went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and took a quick shower. Stella got out, dried off with a towel and slipped into her clothes. She pulled her hair into a cute messy bun and applied light makeup. After a last quick look over in the mirror she nodded to herself and grabbed her white doctor's coat and slipped it on, grabbing her keys and wallet, then walking out the door to her Jeep. She made the 10 minute drive over to the hospital and parked in her spot, getting out and walking in. She talked with some nurses and other doctors for a while before heading up to the third floor where her main station was. She had a case waiting for her so she grabbed it and started reading through it.

Stephen buzzer beeped a second time, waking Stephen up, as he quickly sat up. It was his patent, Michael. Stephen quickly stood up, using his hands to sweep off his scrubs before quickly walking out of the room. He had been running a late night shift and ha decided to take a quick nap on the cot, jut so he could get rest since he had been working a good twelve hours if not more. His legs ached from the pain of walking all around the hospital, but he ignored it, knowing that this was his job. He loved his job, and he'd be damned if he couldn't at least do it right. His feet stopped moving when he got to the elevator, pressing the third floor button, knowing that was where Michael was.

Michael was an eleven year old African American boy who had been hurt severely in a car accident. He'd had a severe concussion which led to him being in a coma for two months, and one of his legs had completely given out on him, but Stephen had treated it, assuring Michael that after his rehabilitation, he would be as good as new.

Stephen didn't know why, but he just loved kids. He loves being around them and their innocence. He lived helping them and hated if he couldn't do anything with them. Stephens thoughts stopped, as he opened Michael's door, walking in and looking at the boy.

"How you doing champ?" He asks Michael, and Michael uses his hand, barely moving it, as he waved. He did a small smile at Stephen before saying, "I've been better. I just need some water. My throat hurts," he croaks, and Stephen quickly obliges, giving the boy a small glass of water before getting the remote and turning the tv on, flicking between the channels until Michael stopped him.

"Stop on SpongeBob," he says softly. "I like that show." Stephen smiled, as he looked at Michael shaking his head. Kids were so innocent.

Stella finished reading over the new case, it was a 5 year old little Hispanic girl named Maria, same as her mother. The little girl had fallen off the back of a truck and fractured her arm. She had just come in a little over five minutes ago, so she still needed to be taken care of. Stella quickly walked past several rooms until she opened the door of the little girl. The paperwork had said she was given quite a bit of pain medication, so she shouldn't be in too much pain.

"Hello." She called in a kind voice as she stepped into the room, greeting the young girl and her family. "Good news is your X-rays just came in and you only fractured your arm, so it won't need any surgeries." She smiled brightly and walked over to the bed. "So, Maria, what color cast would you like?" She questioned with a smile as she sat on a chair beside her. Maria thought for a short while before she answered, "I want pink." She returned the doctor's smile. Stella nodded and turned towards a counter that had gauze and wraps for casts. She took out a pink wrap and some gauze and turned back to the young girl, wrapping it all up.

Once she was done what she had to do she pulled out several slings that all had cartoon characters on them, "Now, which sling would you like?" She smiled and showed the young girl all of them, and waited until she pointed to the one she wanted, a Hello Kitty sling. Stella adjusted the sling to the young girl's size and slid if over her and placed her arm in it. "All done." She looked to her family with a smile, then back to Maria, "Would you like a lollipop?" She raised a brow and the young girl nodded her head quickly, so she pulled one out of a container and handed it to her. Stella turned to the family and informed them of all the information that she had before she left the room and headed back to the nurse's station on her floor.

Stephen watched Michael doze off, his eyelids fluttering shut, as the young boy seemingly decided to let himself sleep. Stephen took the remote before pointing it at the television, and turning the tv off, so nothing could disturb the young boy. Stephen looked at the peaceful boy before putting his hand on the young boys forehead and a small smile appeared on his face. He really was truly affectionate with the younger kids. Stephen most defiantly wouldn't be doing this with someone over the age of fourteen. It was just something about them that drew Stephen in, made him care so deeply for them.

His buzzer buzzed repeatedly, in other words telling him, it was something serious.
He gave one more look at Michael before leaving his room, and hurrying to run down the stairs to get to the first floor where new people were coming in. When e got to the first floor, it didn't take him long to realize they had been in a burning building. Being one of the higher up doctors, he quickly looked over all the patients, taking a young female who seemed to be in the worse condition. He knew he needed to pick a nurse to work with him, but he didn't feel like socializing and decided to pick someone he didn't really know. "Silver, you're with me," he says Cooley before racing to the gurney and beginning to take her to the second floor.

Stella Silver was a third year nurse, who was very good at we job, and if what Stephen thought was true, she happened to enjoy her job vey much. She was pretty with her ombré hair and doe brown eyes, but Stephen never thought of his coworkers in that way, and this would be no different. He got the patient into the room before checking out a chart a nurse on the truck had filled out for her. It was time to get into business.

Stella had rushed to the first floor as many nurses and doctor's beepers all went off simultaneously. She was looking over the burned patients as the came by her, helping with what she could before she heard her name. "Silver, you're with me." She was drawn out of her thoughts as she handed a pump to a nearby nurse to take over and gave a quick nod to the doctor who had called her. "Yes sir, Dr.Smith." She quickly followed after him and grabbed onto the gurney, helping push it towards the elevator.

She was friends with most of the doctors and nurses in the hospital, but never really had a conversation with him, he didn't seem to be much of a talker. She didn't mind, she admired that he was all about business. He was one of the best doctors in the hospital and she knew there was a lot to learn from him. Though she was a nurse, she was enrolled in online classes to become an actual doctor, even though the online way to become a doctor had a lot more exams and tests to get your degree, it was worth it.

Stephen immediately began to get to work as soon as they got the patient into the room. He started checking her body over. "Her breathing I quickly switching from erratic to nonexistent which isn't a good sign, as she has burns all over her body, ranging from first to third degree. Her hair has been burnt but other than that patient shows no severe injuries," Stephen says professionally, taking a second to look at the nurse before diving into work. He had to help her.

The girl didn't look like she was older than sixteen with pale skin, bleach blonde hair, freckles across her nose, and green eyes that Stephen had only seen a few times when she opened them to look around. He put a mask over her mouth to let her breath in the air that should start to make we breathing improved. Stephen hoped desperately her lung hadn't collapsed, but he could only be patient, as the machine did its job.

Stephen looked at Stella. "You can get the cream and begin rubbing on the first degree burns while I start checking out the third," he says quickly before getting a scalp and preparing to look at the burns

She nodded and quickly grabbed the burn cream and gently applied it to the young woman's burns. She had done this so many times before that she knew how to apply it without making the pain of the burns any worse. Stella looked over her body a few times to make sure she got all of the first degree burns then put the cream away.

Soon after she was done the patient's breathing started to crash again, Stella grabbed a stethoscope and pressed it against her abdomen, "Sounds like a collapsed lung, I'll take care of it." She quickly grabbed a clean syringe and stabbed it between two of her ribs, letting the pressure release from around her lung and her breathing started to stabilize once again.

She then checked to make sure all her IV bags were filled and didn't need to be replaced as they were started when she was in the ambulance and there was no telling how long she was in there for.
