It looks really, really nice! The anatomy is good, the line is well done and your colouring is really handsome as well.
However, I am not sure about the front paw, the one that is stretched out. It looks longer than the other paws. Or the foot is too big. I am not sure but I feel like something is wrong here.

The chest and shoulder could use a little more definition, but it looks solid.

The head is the correct size, but it probably looks small to someone who is accustomed to looking at cartoony or chibi art. The far eye might be covered a bit more by the bridge of the nose. Be careful with the center line.

In terms of polishing this up as a compositionally complete work of art (which it might not be. It looks like a quick ref for a design), consider widening the canvas and scooting the figure back so there's some space to walk into. A top to bottom gradient in the background would also help establish a movement line and make it a little more dynamic.

@springdragon, that's for the critic! this is just a reference image, not an actual digital painting meant for a complete composition. caz just needed a reference piece. i got lazy with the eyes because EYES ARE HARD ahahah but fixed it up in an improved version!


out of curiosity, how much would you guys price these for both in silver beetles and gold beetles? thinking of open or auctioning off a slot or two!
