Throwing it's head back with a quick chirp, Echo stood atop a large sand dune that was closest near the crumpled shrine that housed the old ruins of an Ancient Glyph. Looking off into the direction of the shrine, Echo slowly turned it's head away, instead to focus up ahead. It had been some time since it's last companion, yet Echo was still feeling weary from returning all the way back from the chilling cold mountain that was the Summit.

It felt better to be in the blazing sun again; the heat warming it's cloak, the sand particles gathering up in the wind and collecting together, adding more color into the hooded traveler's otherwise white and gold cloak.
While gazing over the land, still feeling saddened from the recent loss of it's companion, Echo continued to stand, looking at it's surroundings, still in awe of the Beginning's landscape just as it had been the very moment it was born those many years ago.

With it's scarf blowing with the wind, far off in the sandy background, two other travelers, one of whom sported a white cloak while the other a navy blue, ran along together toward the large ruins that sat an impressive ways away.
The two could just barely be seen until they were completely covered by the thick, sandy air, with the only thing left to be heard from them were their large chirps echoing off in the far distance.

Mars' vision was planted firmly on the huge point in the distance, making his way gently along the sand as he climbed upwards onto a hill, looking out across the desert. He didn't know exactly why he was here, but something deep inside him was telling him to go towards that mountain. There was hardly anything to be seen miles around other than his destination, apart from perhaps a couple jutting out ruins. Grasping an interest from these, he decided to head for those first, hoping to find some shelter from the blazing sun he wasn't used to yet.

With a gentle strum, he slid down the soft slope, enjoying the feeling of grains flying against his red cloak. The silky fabric was comfortable to move around in, and made him feel weightless as he lifted himself up again to climb the next wave of sand. Noticing the short scarf he had, he wondered what such a useless piece of clothing could be for in such an extreme environment, but since it was part of his cloak anyway he supposed it must hold some sort of value.

He didn't seem to notice the white figure dancing along the sand dunes in the distance, focusing his attention on gliding across the golden seascape, all the while humming as he narrowed his eyes against the blinding sun. He didn't know exactly how long it would take to reach any sort of civilization, or if he would ever find out why he was here, but the instincts telling him to go straight towards the pinnacle was so strong he didn't seem to care.

Once the hauntingly relaxing sounds of the two travelers' songs had at last ceased, Echo decided to remove itself from the dune, and make it's way to the same direction, toward the towering ruins far off in the north. On it's way, however, after sliding down the hill, another figure came into view, seeming to flicker from the intense heat of the sun's rays radiating down along the ground. Tilting it's head just ever so slightly, Echo watched with curious, unblinking eyes at the red figure, until it took notice of the others own scarf.

Looking from traveler to scarf, and back to traveler again, something inside Echo forced it forward, and like it had done with companions in the past, the white cloak followed suit after the red. The feeling of sadness seemed to wash away the moment the red cloak had been examined further, yet still Echo did not allow for itself to rush after the other too hastily; after all, it had just returned from a grueling and heartbreaking journey and the red cloak itself seemed pretty new to it's own destiny. Yet..

The feeling of becoming overjoyed at the sight of another somehow made its way back inside the experienced white cloak, even if the grief were still so near it's little heart. Echo, regardless of it's mixed feelings buzzing about inside itself, continued on after the red cloak. Though, as eager as it was to meet another, the experienced still had to maintain balance; they were never to jump into the path of those that had just been born - they, after all, where still learning about where they even came from and why they were even here.

As it silently followed after the potential companion, a gentle, sandy breeze blew by, gathering up small particles of all that was always and forever to cover the ground. Dragging it's pointed feet along the gritty sand, Echo followed at an even pace, allowing for the newcomer a great distance to explore, but also just enough to where they weren't lost within the thick, sandy air that usually came up from the occasional sandstorm. From the looks of it, the red cloaked seemed to be heading straight toward the ruins that held within the first Ancient Glyph - perhaps Echo could meet up with them there, all the while respecting the others' space as it approached, of course.
