Samantha glanced around, gripping her knife tightly. She removed her colt handgun from her belt before continuing her journey. She needed food and would have to hunt for it. Approaching the large forest on the outskirts of the city, she placed her back on a tree trunk, facing into the shadows, before sighting a zombie and shooting it with shaky hands. "where are the damn animals" she muttered to herself through gritted teeth as she heard the moans of more creatures approaching.

He quickly turned around hearing gunshot. He hauled the deer onto his shoulder and started to move. He started to jog, deer over his shoulder further into woods, looking back every now and then to seeing if anyone was coming. When he got far enough away he put the deer down and continued skinning it, more quickly this time time.

Samantha heard fast moving and immediately tensed. She waited as the sound moved farther away from her and relaxed when whatever it was, was gone. She looked around and finally noticed friendly movement, a jackrabbit. She crouched down and slowly got closer to the small animal, if she shot it the carcass would be to messy to eat. Sam crept closer and closer to the small mammal until, "Bullseye" she whispered as her knife lodged in the rabbits neck. She grabbed her carcass and began to jog home.

Jack had no home. He was an orphan. He had been badly abused as a child but had never told anyone about his past unles he had to. He had scars all other his body, and a tattoo that covered most of his back in an attempt to cover some of the scars. It didn't work. He looked around. He knew he would have to make a fire.

Samantha quickly jogged to her home, it wasn't to far from the forest. She went inside and went to her small fireplace, we're she had set up a little cooking stamd. The power had been out ever since the undead had risen. She quickly skinned her kill, while she wanted for the fire to warm. Samantha sat by the fireplace, anticipating her next meal and thinking over the previous day.

He cut the deer up into small pieces and started a small fire, cooking them. Once they were cooked he ate a couple of pieces before putting the rest in his bag. He stomped the fire out before climbing a tall tree and setting up a hammock up high.

Samantha quickly roasted the jackrabbit and ate most of it before putting the leftovers in the cooler. She then went upstairs and slept for a bit and woke up at 5am. "Early bird gets the worm!" She sang to herself as she prepared for the day. Samantha put on some dark clothes then went outside and hopped on her bike, colt in hand. She was going to go to the center of the city to one of her used to be favorite shopping malls.

He got into the hammock and slept. The next morning he got up and put away his hammock. He climbed down the tree and headed out to the town, keeping his rifle with him at all times. He soon got to a petrel station on the edge of his he city. He went in and started raiding the shelves. Taking anything he might need in the future, stuffing it all into his backpack.

Samantha quickly peddled down the streets, stopping once and a while to shoot a zombie if it was to close. She finally arrived at the mall, leaving her bike outside as she pulled open the squeaky doors. Cautiously pulling herself inside the dark and musty area, she made sure the doors were firmly closed behind her before turning on her flashlight and looking around. Running over to the nearest clothing store, she grabbed some fitting clothes and shoved them in her back pack.

He walked out before going to a small clothing store. He froze hearing someone else in there. He raised his rifle moving forward slowly looking around, ready to shoot anything that moves. "Who's there..." he asked. He shot the window shattering the glass scaring a bird outside.

Samantha widened her eyes and ducked to the ground immediately when she heard a gun shot. Crawling and hiding behind one off the many displays she saw the window was shattered and a young man was standing looking into the popular store. "Hi" She squeaked, making sure her voice was quiet so he wouldn't be able to find the source of the sound.

"Where are you?" He asked looking around hearing the quiet voice. He figured it was a woman and lowered his gun slightly "keep you weapons down and I won't shoot. " he said. He slowly opened his bag and stuff a tshirt into it before zipping it up again.

Deciding it was worth the risk if there was another person, Samantha stood, keeping her hands at her side as she turned to face him. Suddenly self-conscious of her long jet black hair that fell down to her waist in rags, Samantha put on a half smile and stared at the man with her piercing ice blue eyes.

He lowered his gun slightly " who are you?" He asked eyeing her. He hadn't seen a person in months. Seeing her matted hair he ran a hand through his brown hair feeling it was in knots as well. He lowered his gun more.

"Samantha. Samantha Eden." She said with a small grin as she observed the man, noticing him nervously run his hand through wild brown hair. She watched him lower his gun the grabbed her own from the back pocket of her jeans, in case some zombies attached and the man was obviously more relaxed then she was. "What about you? what's your name?" She asked, her voice horse and stuttering from weeks of not speaking.
