~The Ranks~

Alphas:
The Alphas are the supreme leaders of the pack. They are the most dominant individuals and thus, must be shown the due respect. They make decisions, impose the rules and have the right to vanish any member of the pack. They are usually the most capable wolves. Though they have the power over the pack, the Alpha's also have the responsibility of taking care of the wolves under their lead. Their position can be challenged by any wolf. Know that winning a challenge against an Alpha is extremely difficult but not impossible. The Alpha will chose his successor, usually one of his children (though not necessarily), to replace him/her when they pass away.

Betas:
The Betas are the second-in-command. They are hand chosen by the Alphas and they will replace the Alphas should anything make them incapable of facing their duties. While the Alphas are around, Betas will usually solve any minor problem and of course, correct any wrong behavior they see. Betas usually have very close bonds and are trusted deeply by the Alphas.

Warriors:
The Warriors are the defenders and guardians of the pack. Powerful and extremely skilled in the arts of fighting, the warriors ensure the security of the pack. They are trained since a very young age and are prepared to confront almost any kind of situation. The Inuik Pack is not known as "the warrior pack" for nothing.

Hunters:
The masters of the forest and the worst nightmare of the prey, the hunters' main purpose is to keep the pack fed. They excel at tracking, stalking and running short distances, without mentioning bringing down prey thrice their size with perfectly planned strategies.

Scouts:
The pack's watchful eye, scouts walk the borders and the lands of Inuik Pack's lands daily, making sure no trespassers or dangers threaten the pack or go unnoticed. Scouts are agile wolves who can make their way trough almost any terrain be it running, climbing, swimming or digging. The have powerful howls and masters of escaping tight situations, in order to save themselves and alert the pack.

Healers:
Some wolves choose to learn the ways of the healer, and keep their pack brothers and sisters healthy by means of treating their wounds and their illnesses. They know which plants, insects or substances to use, the resources of nature aiding them in their duty. A few of them have received special training, being able to march into the field of battle with the warriors and tend to the theirs wounds so that they can keep going for longer periods of time.

Broodmothers:
A female only rank, the broodmothers are the ones who look after the pups while their parents are busy. They also take care of the orphans and teach them the ways of the wolf and pack life until they are old enough to be under the tutelage of a mentor. These kind ladies show how fierce they can be when their little ones are threatened.

Pups:
The little ones, the future of the pack. The pups do not have any responsibility other than learning the ways and rules of the pack as they grow older. They are protected by the pack and usually accompanied by either one of their parents or a broodmother. When they are one year old, the pups become apprentices to a wolf who possesses the rank they wish to obtain once they reach two years old.

Omega:
The Omega is the lowest ranking wolf of the pack. They are either the weakest, most submissive or dishonored member of the pack. They eat last and the pack usually doesn't worry too much about their safety. It is not strange to see other wolves intimidating or taking their rage out on the Omega of the pack.

~My Wolves~

Name:Bjorn(pronounced Bee-orn)
Gender: Male
Age:4 years old
Rank:Alpha Male

Physical Description:
A wolf of massive size and a muscular, athletic build he towers over many other members of his species. Bjorn has long, powerful legs, a broad chest, strong back and thick neck that ends in a massive head with a muzzle to match its size and broadness. His size does of course provide him with a staggering strength and, despite his speed is nowhere near his physical force, his athletic, well proportioned body doesn't sacrifice his agility for his strength. Bjorn's pelt is a mix of dark grey and white. It is thick, warm and mostly impermeable, acting as an excellent protection from cold and humid weather. Bjorn's eyes are of a light blue color, solid and with a very strong gaze. He excels at combat, resistance and tracking skills. His senses, especially his olfactory and auditory senses, are very acute and sensitive, justifying for his excellent tracking skills. He is also a wolf with a very developed instinct.

Psychological Traits:
Respectful, dominant and strong-willed, Bjorn has a very calm and patient but quite serious personality. He is a natural leader, a good guardian, a protector. And this means that he has his priorities very well organized, the pack absolutely heading that list. He has always followed the steps of his adoptive father, who had been an excellent leader for the Inuik Pack and, now that he is leading, he makes sure that the pack is always cared and well provided for. Bjorn will protect any member of his pack at any cost and will always try to not guide them through his authority but rather have the consent of the pack on his actions. He is very intolerant with traitors and weary of strangers. Overall, Bjorn is a good Alpha, loyal to a fault and fierce when it comes down to confronting whatever is that represents a danger to him or his pack.

Background:
No one could understand how a lone, small wolf pup could survive the winter all on his own. Of course, luck had taken a very big role on this incredible event but it was also clear that only a few days more on his own would have ended the life of the poor creature, probably abandoned by his family or having lost it to the many hazards of a wolf's life.

The little creature had stumbled onto the territory and had been found by the Scouts, who, surprised by their finding, brought the pup to the Alpha, Ivar. The large male had recently had his first and last litter of pups with his late mate, that had soon died of sickness after giving birth to only one healthy pup, the other having been stillbirths or died soon after they were born. Empathizing with the foreign pup's situation and with a message he never told out loud from the shamans, Ivar adopted the cub, naming him Bjorn and rising him alongside his only blood descendant, Baldric.

The 'brothers' grew up together but never got along. Baldric was jealous of his younger, adopted brother who his father always favored so much. Bjorn, however, did see Baldric as his brother even if he knew he didn't want him there. Bjorn grew to be everything a wolf could want in his pup. And when Ivar, wounded in his last battle, proclaimed Bjorn as his heir instead of Baldric before dying, a fierce battle broke loose between the two brothers.

Having had to give his very best, and sustaining some wounds in the process, Bjorn saw himself the victor and became the rightful leader of Inuik pack, exiling his brother from his lands and never seeing him again. Two years have gone since then, and now Inuik pack is prospering and peaceful under the leadership of Bjorn.

Name:Kyren
Gender:Male
Age:2 years old
Rank:Scout

Physical Description:Despite being male, Kyren is small in stature. His body is lithe and lightly muscled, built for speed and distance as opposed to strength, and his legs are long, ending in large paws that are used to travel. He has a keen nose and his triangular ears are always alert, while his bright hazel eyes dance with mischief. His coat is a mixture of red and brown hues and he attempts to keep it clean at all times (though his position makes this difficult).

Psychological Traits: Kyren is a very laid-back, fun loving male who generally gets along with most other wolves - though he would rather the company of a pretty young female any day. He is new to pack life and the responsibilities he must take on as a member but he isn’t one to shirk his duties. That being said, he has issues at times with keeping his mouth shut and showing proper respect when its due and often times finds himself in over his head when he mouths off to the wrong wolf. Kyren is not a fighter, being on the smaller side for a male, and always chooses his wits over brawn - avoiding physical confrontation if at all possible. He knows his weaknesses yet still he has a tendency to play with fire.

Background: Kyren is not a native to the Inuik Pack. Born into a distant pack, the young male was destined to be an Alpha. He had a younger brother though, Batik, who badgered him constantly - stepping out of line often to challenge his brother’s decisions. One day the younger male took things too far and proceeded to openly disrespect Kyren by eating first at a kill. In a blind rage, Kyren accidentally killed Batik. His actions were dismissed by the pack but he couldn’t forgive himself, nor could he face his family knowing he had killed one of his own. He banished himself and had been living solo for quite some time before instinct caused him to seek solace in the comfort of his own kind. The male never speaks of his past, though it haunts him.

~Pack Wolves~

Name: Svenja (Kelshand)
Gender: Female
Age: Three Years
Rank: Warrior
Physical Description: A thick black base coat covers most of Svenja’s muscular build, though it is heavily streaked with silver-grey hairs throughout. Parts of her abdomen are almost white, though few are sure to ever see it in its entirety. Overall, Svenja is visibly built for combat and strength instead of speed. Still, she is not terribly slow or clumsy and moves with surprising agility. Eyes of amber are often intimidating in their unwavering stare. Her right ear has a large split in its front from an unfortunate tousle with a young cougar. Various scars cover her neck and chest, hidden by thick fun. Those on her forelegs are more visible in the shorter hair when in close quarters with her.

Psychological Traits: Svenja is loyal to herself first, trusted others second, and considers dishonesty and mutiny unforgivable. She is level-headed, typically thinking everything through before acting. Her stubborn headedness prevents her from backing down from dangerous situations where her chances of success are very low unless it be someone with worthy authority. Failure is not an option for Svenja, and she will push herself mentally even when her physical body seem to be wearing down. She can be truly volatile if threatened or taunted. Svenja is respectful to those with merit and has little to no love for cowards or “pretenders”. She can be very blunt and abrasive at times though her heart is not entirely hardened. She can be an amazing ally and friend if her trust is obtained and does hope to find a strong mate eventually, though she is very picky with weaknesses.

Background: Svenja was raised to compete with her siblings. There was only room for the strong and those that were weak were treated harshly in hopes of toughening their demeanors. Not everyone survived that rigor but Svenja made it to adolescence as a fierce young female. She was trained for hunting and fighting alike, though her fighting skills often exceeded her speed in pursuit of prey. There are no tragedies or sob stories for her to dwell on or seek revenge over. She is simply a strong female with a passion for protection of the pack as well as for the adrenaline rush when she gets to throw her weight around.

Age: 1 year
Rank: Hunter, though somewhat of an apprentice due to age – disposition is more suited for healer though she knows nothing of its trade
Physical Description: Wren is still very youthful in appearance with a lean, svelte frame and lanky lags. Her thick coat is mostly and off-white that looks more cream than anything. Dark grey and black guard hairs appear on her shoulders in a triangular pattern that tapers down her spine. Her face is narrow and deeper cream than the rest of her coat. Her golden hazel eyes are high-set and are often filled with curiosity.

Psychological Traits: Young and inquisitive, Wren is mostly a kind soul by nature. She is passionate about anything she even remotely has a like for and some may say her dreams are much too large and far-fetched. Don’t expect to get her easily angered, however, and mistake her passion for unnecessary aggression. Wren tries her best to keep a cool head and passive demeanor to show the utmost respect for those around her. Though she tries not to wear her emotions on her sleeve, it is not always successful especially if she is embarrassed or insulted. She fears letting others down and being seen as inadequate or creating any sort of unnecessary conflict. Her apparent innocence can be easily misinterpreted as naivety at times, or even weakness, but she is trying to earn her place as a respected and contributing individual to the pack. She is confused with who she really wants to be considering her lack of experience in the real world.

Background: Wren had an uneventful puppyhood, and though she was not coddled by her parents, she was not withheld nurture and love. Her parents had suffered many losses of their pack, mostly from the harsh environment. Natalia’s mother passed away when Wren was about five months old, but it was expected as she had been very ill and probably too elderly to have even birthed both her and her stillborn brothers. Her father went missing mysteriously only a few days later, but had been acting strange beforehand, muttering things of paranoia. Natalia still hasn’t seen him since he went missing. She does wonder about him at times and what he was in hysterics over. The Inuik pack was her saving grace so to speak.
