I've been sketching at work lately to deal with the fact that a couple of my managers are really frustrating me. (-muffled screaming- Why do I have to be an adult?!) So, since I've been playing Skyrim again, I decided to draw my character, Kathar-Tal'Krin. This is what she looks like in-game. She's a breed of Khajiit called the Dagi-Raht, or at least a version of them added by a mod. (I haven't seen a lot of lore on the Dagi/Dagi-Raht, so...) Kath's a gifted smith, which was why she came to Skyrim with her brother, Pah'Zar, and got her involved in the whole situation there. (She said, "Nords like weapons, right? They can always use a smith!" And Pah'Zar said, "...I think you're going to get in trouble, so I'm going to come along to look after you oh look we are already in trouble.")  (Pic is so bad, I'm sorry! I need a scanner.) So this is Kath. I drew her sans clothes 'cause I wanted to work out body structure and markings. The Dagi-Raht are supposed to be climbers, so I made her tail thicker and longer than most Khajiit you see in-game. Sort of like monkey tails - she can grab on to things with it and actually hang off of it. Her mane forms sort of a natural 'mohawk,' which she pulls back into a ponytail.  This is Kath at her forge. I made some design updates - for some reason I love elbow tufts? St the forge, she tends to wear just a pair of trousers and a blacksmith's apron and glove. Technically it's dangerous - she's working with hot metal, after all - but she has fur and it's hot in the forge, dangit! Not sure what she's working on, and wow I cannot draw anvils holy cow. Probably some special order from one of the Jarls, who she'd rather tell to just go away, but...Jarls are Jarls.  Decided to try to draw Kath in the armour she wears in-game. Didn't really do it justice, but maybe have a new armour design for her in my head? Won't be able to have it in game, but now I have Ideas. The Dagi-Raht are supposed to be jumpers and climbers and tree-dwellers, so I wanted Kath to have grasping feet. I also wanted to draw her doing something other than standing (even my last pic of her at the Forge was technically still standing) so I decided to draw her leaping. Not really liking her hands and feet or anything resembling fabric folds, but I'm pleased overall with the result.  Aaaaand another one. I cannot stop drawing her, I'm enjoying it too much. 8D;So anyway, eventually as she works her way through the whole 'Dragonborn' mess, she ends up also getting involved with the Dawnguard, meeting Serana. (I have an appearance mod on my game for Serana, because her default hairstyle looked like she had a weird bald spot for me? And it drove me insane, 'cause I love her as a character.) She worked with Serana to defeat her father, and they became close and eventually got married. (Another mod.) The Dagi and Dagi-Raht are natural spellcasters, and while Kath doesn't usually use magic for fighting, she does tend to use it in her smithing, and she has a tendency to 'play' with it. Well, turns out you gotta be careful when doing that, because magical accidents can have highly-unforseen consequences. Like your vampire wife getting pregnant. (How?! They...aren't sure.) Oops. That resulted in these two:  This is Del'Sur. Sur for short, or later "Big Sur," because he's a big dude. He's fluffier than Kath, but he takes after her skill as an archer. He gets his skill with Destruction magic (specifically ice) from Serana, though. His personality is very Nordic, though: loud, outgoing, boisterous, and always ready to fight for what he believes in. (Or sometimes just to get into a fight.)  Te'Chiari...was a surprise. Sur was born, and then oops it's twins. Chiari for short hoped to be an archer as well, but her eyesight in one eye is really bad. But she inherited Kath's amazing skill as a smith, and they bond over that and she learns to love it. She's also a fair bit fluffier than Kath. She and Sur start up their own little smithing and enchanting business when they're older. Anyway...this is what I've been sketching lately. ^^ I've been writing a fair bit for Kath lately, buuut...I dunno if I wanna share writing yet. ~Ian  0 players like this post! Like? This was really cool to read (I never thought of a Khajit smith before) and I like your drawings! I especially like the leaping one and the one under that. I thought I was the only one who gave my Skyrim char a bunch of back story and relations lol I was always horrible at keeping up with the Khajit's names even though I thought they were cute so I chose a Breton the first time through, but that sneaking bonus would have really come in handy in hindsight. Thank you very much, Ayvamos! 8D I really liked the idea of a Khajiit smith, especially since I have a bunch of armour mods on my game that require crafting, and I have a couple neat house mods that have a really neat crafting system upgrade, so I set about making my own weapons and armour for all of my companions, so I figured that Kath would be the sort of person who'd take enough pride in her work that she equips everyone who travels with her. ^^ And yeah, I get really into the role playing and story aspects of it, especially after I started playing Dawnguard and met Serana. She's so adorable! I have indeed been keeping up the good work. At least, a little bit. One out of two ain't bad, right?  I wanted to try a close-up bust of her. Added in some of her jewelry. She does get mistaken for male a lot, by non-Khajiit, thanks to her fluffy jawline. This bugs her, but she takes it in stride.  Decided to try colouring. I'm...not entirely happy. Her clothes came out okay, but her self...no. Nope. Ugh. I didn't really have the colours I wanted, but I tried anyhow. ;-; I'm sorry, Kath....! ~Ian 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yay, Khajiit pride, woo! (I get confused with the spelling sometimes, too. XD) Kath can be pretty loud, too, especially if she's trying to be entertaining, and/or make people smile. She really enjoys making people smile, and sometimes gets herself into trouble trying to do so. Especially people she loves. (She has, on a couple occasions, done really silly or stupid things trying to impress Serana or make her smile.) ~Ian 0 players like this post! Like? |

I tried playing a vampire once, but I prefer werewolf. I'm not doing either side right now 'cause my computer is being stupid, and I'm trying to work my way through the Civil War questlines and main questline, 'cause I haven't done that before. Nice sketches ^^ I typically play as Khajiit too, but lately I've been playing a few nords based on some OCs of mine(chose nords, 'cause said OCs are from Viking ancestors). I randomly sketched a Khajiit this morning, actually, and after seeing this too, I think it's a sign that I should go back to playing Khajiit  By the way, if you like Khajiit and haven't heard of him, you should totally get the Inigo follower mod. He's so lovable and hilarious <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Inigo is great! He's one of three followers I always have with Kath, the other two being Lydia (Kath's first Housecarl) and Serana (Kath's wife). I am a heavy modder, and I have a huge soft spot for companion mods, ever since I played Morrowind and found Julan Kaushibael. Most of the mods I have on my game are companion mods or armour/weapon mods, along with some really, really nice house mods. ~Ian 0 players like this post! Like? |

I also rather heavily mod my game, though most of mine are immersion, gameplay, or overhaul mods. I literally have like two companion mods(plus 3dNPC, which has a lot of followers in it). If you haven't tried it yet and like companions, maybe add Vilja too then. I originally got the mod purely because Inigo and her have some custom conversations, and thus to give him a friend She has a pretty great quest line of her own, and is super well made! I never get bored with the two of them around. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I have Vilja as well. Julan was hosted at the same site that originally hosted Vilja, so I've known of her since Morrowind. ^^ I haven't picked her up this playtheough though, because she wouldn't shut up, but then I felt bad TELLING her to shut up.
