Hey all! I was just thinking about how some of us can't always train our adols and meet the 75% training to gain stats. What if there was a cute NPC that offered to train your adols for a price? They would gain x% of training experience every x amount of hours/days.

The NPC could be a cute dwarf! (idea from Willow when talking in chat) It could be looking at you with a bunch of adols around training. There could be a cute role play type text underneath the picture like at the giving tree! Something like:

You approach a small lioness, she seems to be an adult... maybe she stopped growing at a young age? The female turns to look at you when you approach and a smile comes across her muzzle. "Hi there! I can train your young adolescents once every x hours (or once a day) for a small fee!" she said as she looked away to see how the adolescents she was already training were doing. Should you let her train your future lions?

then there would be a button underneath that and it could say "Let her train [Lion]" and the cost could be x amount of SB or 1-2 GB if she is going to train them quite a lot for one time. The x amounts are up to the admins and mods I guess.. but feel free to give ideas as to what x might be! :D

[Might add some cute images of the dwarf lady later XD]

I support, it's an excellent idea!
Though I suggest maybe keeping the prices in SB, because not Lioden players are able to buy GB with real money (such as myself), or in-game money. Just a suggestion!

No support.

This feature has been implemented for two reasons.

1. People were frustrated, that there was no use in cub/adol interaction and they were sitting there, doing nothing. Now that they implemented it, there is a purpose of cub/adol interaction, they are not just sitting there but are being useful.
2. To help the cub market by limiting mass-sellers. Those who breed too many cubs will have issues with training all of them properly. It is the buyer's task to keep an eye on the training level of the cubs/adol.

Reaching the critical 75% obviously wont happen all the time and that is okay. It is not essential to give your cubs and adols extra stats. They will survive just fine without it. Obviously, only those will get extra stats who can reach the requirement. This does require a certain amount of activity. Female adols are easy to train. Just put them into hunts. To set a hunt up, you dont even need half a minute. As far as I know, male adol training% was made easier to get as well.

Make it any easier, and you will have a useless and easily bypassed feature, like brood mothers.

Since there are lots of issues regarding not-trained cubs/adols on the market, what I would suggest is making the cub training level public, visible for cubs/adols if only for those which are for sale, enabling buyers to pick those that truly match their requirements. To make sure buyers dont end up getting half or not even trained lions.

If people keep rejecting cubs that do not get trained enough, then sellers will be inclined, even forced to breed less and train those that they want to sell, bringing quality cubs to the market.

I understand there might be cubs you seriously want but this is the market. You like the design but the training is low? Well, decide what you want most. Design or stats?

Sellers should have some responsibility for their bred cubs. Training them properly is the right way to go. The rest is up to the buyer.

Plus this is a game. There are so many things people want automatized that I cant even count. If the developers make everything automatic, payable for GB... then what is the purpose of this game? Doesnt that make it pay to win, which the developers dont want?

This is a game, which needs to be played.

To be honest I'm on the fence with this. o: I personally do really like the idea, but I can understand why there'd be some feelings that it would be kind of a pay-to-win situation, or "automatize" a feature that's supposed to be interactive. I think with some work, though, this idea could be implemented to make cub training even more interactive and rewarding c:

Honestly, I would much rather save up to have my adols trained for me rather than me having to get on and check the site every 30 minutes or so to refresh my hunts, because that does get old fast, and doesn't really feel so much like a game as it does a chore. XD (Although I suppose my method of adol training where I just dedicate 1-2 days to checking the site every 30 minutes to train up a couple of lionesses may not be what everyone does? Lol.) Also, I imagine it's even tougher for people who are strapped for time in their daily lives and can't check the site a whole lot, even on days they aren't too busy.

Maybe a neat idea would be to make a currency exclusive to training, like how monkey teeth work, so that simply buying GB, and thus "paying to win", would not be an issue. The downside is that I imagine it would probably be much more complicated to implement a whole new system with its own currency and all.

But it'd be cool if, maybe after meeting specific training goals (maybe getting cubs up to a certain % before adolescence, getting like 5 adols to 75%, fully training an adolescent, etc), you'd be granted some amount of training for a few lions, or maybe complete training for a single lion? (Which would be really good if you're like me and are just terrible at remembering to refresh patrols XD). Or maybe by meeting those goals you acquire currency, or maybe even just filling up something like a "rapport" or reputation bar with the NPC, that you can save up to eventually get a free training, which you could then use on a lion you really want to be fully trained, that way you can guarantee it rather than running the chance that you don't quite make 75% on your own.

Just throwing out some ideas, hope they make sense! ^^;

Not sure if I fully support or not, but... how about a simplified idea of a quest for training. You have to complete a quest each time you want the npc to train your cub. Quests themselves take time and effort so doing it the "traditional way" may take less time. But questing on top of the traditional way of training could speed the process. On top of that each quest would only garner so many percentage points; perhaps more than the traditional way, like 3-5%. It may not be "worth the hassle" to quest over and over again instead of traditional training if questing takes longer than just setting hunts or patrols every half hour. Which would make it more useful as a supplement than a primary training function and help prevent abuse.

Support. Cub training is really the only one that's worth bothering with. Training (at most) 3 adols 1% every thirty minutes? It's a chore not fun or interactive.
