Hellooooo all wonderful artists of Lioden (and art lovers)

I have seen you all over this site, and I've seen the wide range of talent everyone has to offer. I, myself, am not as talented or well-practiced. That's where you come in.

I am offering free art to you, so that I can hone my skills and hopefully become a better artist, with a desirably wide range to offer.

I'm going to limit myself to three pieces at a time so that I don't get too overwhelmed. Now these are FREE! However, if you happen to like your piece I will not refuse any gifts cx

What I can do: I will attempt any and all requests! If it turns out horrible I will still attempt it and send it to you, satisfaction not guaranteed cx

Rules: Only one art request per person at a time. (One person/request per slot) Just so others will have a turn at free art. ALSO when you receive your free piece from me, PLEASE let me know how I did and let me know any critique you have for me. I will be grateful for anything constructive you all have to offer!

Form for freeeeee art

What pose/emotion?
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? (Will attempt as best I can cx)

Advice, please?

1. What art program (preferably free) do you use/ recommend? (I use FireAlpaca)
2. Do you have any good art techniques tutorial pages/etc you can share?
3. HOW DO YOU SHADE? PLEase somebody teach me? (Not really a question just my biggest obstacle)

If you are interested in paid art I have to offer (or want to scoff at my abilities) , here is a link to my lion re-colors.

What pose/emotion?: Anything, try something dynamic!
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? : Fullbody if possible

1. What art program (preferably free) do you use/ recommend? I use either Photoshop which is amazing, but expensive or MediBangPaintPro which is free and in my experience better than firealpaca (no offense!)

2. Do you have any good art techniques tutorial pages/etc you can share?

some tips for starting out
1. Always use analogous and complimentary colours and keep your saturation low
2. Try to make characters posed not look like they're in a coffin/stiff keep the dynamic
3. Flip the canvas when you're drawing to make sure it looks right both ways and to check mistakes
4. If you've been working on a piece for hours, take a step back and look at it how everyone else will see it.

3. HOW DO YOU SHADE? PLEase somebody teach me? (Not really a question just my biggest obstacle)
Establish a light source (try drawing a sun in the corner of the page for reference), and take the colour that is to the left of the colour your shading (basically shade orange w/ red and green with blue etc) and block in areas you think the light source won't touch, blend out with a watercolour brush/blur/bending tool in soft areas and keep harsh areas unblended.

@ Boi
I am mostly more-practiced digitally with animals, however when I draw traditionally in my notebooks I do human faces, so I do have a little experience with that, I am not too good at human bodies though.

No offence taken! Thank you for your suggestion, I just never know what to use, I'll give that one a shot.

Thank you for your advice! I will have to try all of that out

What pose/emotion? Could she be either looking at/watching her tail intently or like this?
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? Headshot please

I cant really help much on the advice because my art skills aren't too great, but I find that looking at references when drawing and watching speedpaints and stuff to see artists' techniques have helped and I try to practice whenever I can

1. What art program (preferably free) do you use/ recommend? (I use FireAlpaca): Same

2. Do you have any good art techniques tutorial pages/etc you can share?: Hmm, I generally look at references for help. I'm not really good with humanoids, but if I need to draw one, I use references and it helps!

3. HOW DO YOU SHADE? PLEase somebody teach me? (Not really a question just my biggest obstacle): I'd be willing to show you if you want? I use a basic sort of technique, buuuut.. [here's an example of my shading:]

Photoshop and SAI i strongly recommend, sadly i dont know free ones

2. Do you have any good art techniques tutorial pages/etc you can share?

Aaron Blaise is a wonderful artist who worked on many disney films (and if i remember correctly, he helped animate Lion King). He has many free tips on youtube that have helped me and may hopefully help you as well!

Another Aaron video, and while this is for photoshop, playing around with similar settings on your program may yeild similar results.

If you want my advice, all you have to do is keep practicing. Set aside half an hour to an hour a day just to draw and play around with ideas or styles to find what works for you. Another thing that helps is studying the anatomy of creatures by looking at reference pictures and just drawing what you see, making note of joints, length, width, etc etc.

What pose/emotion? Something where you see that is an evil queen, maybe her smiling in front of a plain cub who is injuried by her ?
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? (Will attempt as best I can cx)
As you want. Preferably a fullbody ^^

Advice, please?
Try to use a skeleton ref' of what you draw, the heads are goods but there are some mistakes at the legs and how they are on the body.

1. What art program (preferably free) do you use/ recommend? (I use FireAlpaca)
Paint tool sai, or Crita
2. Do you have any good art techniques tutorial pages/etc you can share?
Take you time, that's a basic.
3. HOW DO YOU SHADE? PLEase somebody teach me? (Not really a question just my biggest obstacle)
Visualise where you want to shade, make a mix of fuzzy shade and hard shadz and NEVER make the shadows black, choose a dark color.

What pose/emotion? As long as you add Ear Tufts, you can draw him in every kind of way. I'd love him even in the shape of a birb ;D
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? Up to you :)

1/2/3)
I used to have gimp and/or photoshop, but i am not an artist. I used to try to draw some things, especially horses (for another game) and i am really into different layers for every small step. That way it was easy to re-do even small parts w/o destroying every other part of the picture. And that way i didn't had many problems to shade, because i was able to use different colors w/o blending them in with extra tools (smudging looks mehhhh). Don't rush with it, just take your time.
Sorry for not being the biggest help :/

Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? (Will attempt as best I can cx): i would love to have a full body, but if you can only do bust that's fine c:

if you can't do humans well, you can see if there's another character on my toyhouse you might want to try?

For whenever you open up-
Link to character: Druella <3
What pose/emotion? If you could have her curled up taking a nap, I would love that!
Fullbody/Headshot/Bust? Fullbody would be preferential, but I'll take anything of my new baby! <3

I have yet to get into digital art myself, but I'm good with anatomy of canines and have plenty of traditional art expierence, so I can offer that at least xD
