Nacre base

Cherry Blossom base

Ardor base

Red Solid Light Special

WHY Ardor is SOLID when it MORE countershaded than Narce/Cherry Blossom?

Maybe putting Ardor base in Countershaded group is better?
What do you think?

Agreed. If they want more bases in the solid groups, they should make more solid bases instead of putting countershaded bases in there. Like this it's just stupid. :') Same with bloodbourne.

I don't support, at least not until they have something applicable to replace it.

This base was absolutely golden for Cinnabar breeders like one of my friends, since the only other base in Red Solid Light Special is Sapela which is also breed only.

If they move it when they put another applicable base in it's place- then sure, by all means. But as for now, i don't think i'll support removing a base from a group that doesn't have an applicable base for breeding and sticking it in a group that does (Blazing)

Lex, all that I can say -- the same that Kich already said:

And i agree with that. But what i'm saying is that there's no reason to punish the breeders in that group and take away the only applicable base they have until they have another base to replace it; especially when i know a bunch of people only bought the base because it can pass cinnabar

I'll support this when they add another applicable base in there that matches the color group, since it does belong in countershaded, but not until then

It's a bit too late now, people already applied the app to their king and I don't think they would be happy with that change, especially if they breed red solids. Having their king suddenly change to red countershaded would mess up their breeding project. Your arguments are valid and I do agree with that fact: Ardor looks like a countershaded base, but that would not be fair for those who bought the app and applied it to their king for its genetic.

Lex, what about Golden group?
We haven't got ANY apps from golden group, but noone crying about Topaz, Fulvous or Kimanjano bases.
What about Nacarat? It's ONLY ONE base in Golden Countershaded Medium Special group, and, again, noone begging any event applicators to get Nacarat.

Means, you're not right when you're ready keep wrong gradient base in group just to.. Just to get what do you want. It's not right at all. It's the same as buying ton's of Green base apps to get Goldenrod. :|

And five cents about Cinnabar: Cinnas goes very well from Bloodbourne. I got 3 Cinnabar cubs from BB-king on my main from less than 40 cubs and, honestly, it's not hard to. ;)
And, again. Bloodbourne IS countershaded too, Bloudbourne creator said so himself - but admins doesn't care about it. They said "too much bases in countershaded group, so BB will be in solid"
Countershaded base in solid group. Just because they want so. JUST BECAUSE.

Is it fair?
And here, I think, the same story. Because too many or too much, but countershaded must be in countershaded group, solid - in solid.

Otherwise, why do we need gradient groups?
Let it be colors [black, golden, cream, red], shade [light, medium, dark] and rarity [common, special].
It this case Cinnabar owners will also have Blazing & Maroon apps.

But try to understand: not everyone should care about Cinnabar breeders. There are lots of other bases hard to get, but they don't shout about it at every corner :)

So then... make suggestions for new bases to fill in the missing spots? There's a golden special app being added this month because they're working on filling up empty spaces right now. That's why Ardor was added there- to fill an empty space where an app was needed.

Not to be rude, but frankly i don't care about how well Bloodbourne passes Cinnabar. Cinnabar is Red Solid Light Special. Bloodbourne is Red Solid Dark Special. There needs to be an applicator in the Red Solid Light Special Group, just like there needs to be one in the Gold Medium Countershaded Special, Gold Medium Countershaded Light, Black Medium Solid Special, and so on.

And to say not everyone should care about Cinnabar breeders is... ?? I don't know how to respond to that. Everyone deserves to have a base they can apply in the group they want to breed for, and that's what they're working on right now?

Also, Maroon isn't applicable. Blazing was placed there for people to be able to breed Maroon and Fiery.

Like Ahava said, People paid currency they earned with their time for a base to breed Cinnabar and Sapela in a genetic group where there wasn't an applicator before. If they added a new applicator in to Red Solid Light Special, then sure maybe i'd consider this. But until then, i can't and i won't.

I think you're missing the point. It's not about "Feeling the Difference." I've stated multiple times that i understand the difference.

Applicable bases in Red Countershaded Light Common: Sorrel , Copper , Palomino , Tawny (4/4)

Applicable bases in Red Solid Light Special: Ardor (1/3)

Base that pops up randomly in breeding the genetic group: Copper

Base that players had to physically spend 300 HS on, or currently the low-low price of 50gb, for an app so they could have a better chance of breeding the base group they breed for: Ardor

Who cares what shade it is. It completes it's purpose of filling an empty space. If you want a countershade base then use Blazing otherwise breed something else.

Honestly these days there are so many bases that the exact shade has become a little bit irrelevant. I also think, as has been mentioned, that it’s more important to have a good spread of bases of different types - especially applicable specials - in each category, than it is to ensure every base exactly fits in with the ones around it.

Plus, and this is the big reason why I can’t support this, I don’t think it’s really ever fair to move bases after they’ve been added. Especially not with popular event bases like this where a lot of people have already bought the apps and used them on the basis of the original genetics.

Countershading and Solid is weird in Lioden.
Real countershading is like Cherry Blossom.
"Countershading, or Thayer's Law, is a method of camouflage in which an animal's coloration is darker on the upper side and lighter on the underside of the body."
And yet there's some Countershaded colors in Solids, and vice versa.
Honestly, there's just too much to fix for genetics, Ardor isn't the only weird one.
