Welcome!

A young filly prances up to you, tail flicking back and forth, eyes bright and full of mischief. She is adorned with flowers and seems to be throwing her chest out a bit more than necessary. Clearly this little one is quite pleased with herself.

“Well you’re a rather large barn cat, aren’t you?” she comments cheerily as she gently touches your shoulder with a velvety nose. “I bet you don’t have any mouse problems at all where you live. Can’t say the same for my home, they’re all over the place. Probably because our barn cats are useless.” She snorts indignantly at this, seemingly greatly offended by the nuisance of useless cats.

“Oh! But mama would be upset if she knew I hadn’t introduced myself. I’m Mimi.” The little horse stands up as tall as she can and meets your eyes with two soft brown ones.

You rumble out a greeting and introduce yourself, telling her where you’ve come from. You aren’t quite sure what to say about where you’re headed, though.

The filly looks thoughtful after you speak, and then brightens. “I know! You should come with me to the Emporium. Mama keeps lots of beautiful horses there, and some say they aren’t even normal horses at all!” Her eyes widen in excitement and she prances in place. “Won’t you come? I promise it will be worth it. Then you can go back to chasing mice.”

You almost correct her and tell her that no king of the jungle spends his time chasing mice, but you decide to keep quiet for now. She doesn’t seem the least bit afraid, and the Emporium really does sound interesting...
