While it's not required, Discord will vastly help in the interactive part of the Pyre Hounds! Previews will be posted in the Discord Server, exploration locations are available in the discord server as well as various other features that I won't be posting in the thread. ( mostly due to me not liking a cluttered thread )

Species info / breakdown

Originally thought to be beasts of Ill omen it has since come to light that they fill the role of protectors. Once one gets past the frightening experience of encountering one if they manage to befriend it one will seldom find anything more loyal than a Hound. Fierce fighters and steadfast companions they get restless if not exercised often.

Able to communicate through telepathy, all be it only with one person, some have taken to sparring to keep combat skills sharp and even to grow stronger! Combat coming soon

Traits, mutations, and body list are currently only available on Discord.

Exploration / items

While most simply summon a hound due to how much simpler and less risky it is others simply cannot afford this option as forging a hound takes a great amount of time and materials that are hard to come by. With this in mind some have taken to exploring the various areas around Haven where the Hounds have sometimes been spotted in the wild, simply roaming and seemingly lost.

You can visit the Plains once per month ( as it's a free area to visit and without a limit, I could get overwhelmed quickly )

Most basic of areas to explore. There's no risk to the being exploring here as it's guarded and close enough to the city that nothing dangerous wanders in.

Woods: - Unavailable
More dangerous than the plains, the woods is host to some limited and basic wildlife. Plant life is abundant here and you're more at risk though there are slightly better rewards.

River: - Unavailable
Fast moving water and Hounds with burning inner flames isn't a good mix! This place is dangerous enough that a careless moment might set you back a bit! Watch your step here explorers!

Mountains: - Unavailable
So far this is the most dangerous place that any have dared wander to. While there are likely more places out there this one is the be all end all at the moment. Dizzying heights, sharp drop-offs along with jagged rocks that are unsteady under the feet make this a risky place to explore. Be sure to stock up on bandages on your way out here!

Breeding and re-forging

* Gender doesn't matter when breeding a Hound. Hounds are not assigned Gender and the gender of the Hound is up to the owner.
* Each Hound has a one month cool down until it can breed again.
* Both parties must consent to their Hounds being bred.
* Breeding between two Hounds owned by separate people will produce between 2 to 3 Embers.
* Breeding with two hounds owned by the same person can produce between 1 to 3 Embers.
* The lower the number of Embers produced the higher the chance of rare or unique traits.
* Unique traits can only be gained from breeding to a unique traited Hound.
* There is an incredibly rare chance that a Hound will be born with a unique trait when none exist in the parents.
*Breeding forms must be either DM'ed to this account or posted in the Discord.

Hounds made to order

Most of the time hounds are summoned, other times they're found, but for the ones who can either get the material together to bring about a customized hound or afford to pay the smith outright for one, there is another way. There is said to be a being wrapped in thick leather robes who works strictly in a furnace that burns with cold flames. Skeletal hands are the only bits of the being that any have glimpsed and even then it's rare. The being can use materials found around Haven to craft a hound or be bribed out of some of their materials to craft one for the wealthy.
