These creatures are a mix between a cat and a bird most specifically a macaw, the original species didn't have any bright colors. But eventually they evolve to match their bright cousins the macaws. These kats lived everywhere in the rainforest but when deforestation destroyed their homes they were forced to move to deeper reaches of the forest where no human would find them.

To survive they split into large groups called tribes with anywhere from 5-40 kats in them, the highest ever recorded is 60 kats. These tribes live in different territories in the rainforest
