If anyone has already suggested this, sorry! If this is in the wrong place, also sorry! This suggestion is exactly what it says in the title--a suggestion to remove the 'Trade no longer available's that constantly lurk in the Trading Centre. This is, in my opinion, a literally useless feature, with how long it sticks around, which is definitely more than a few hours. If it were there for a moment while the trade was being processed I wouldn't be bothered by it, but. y'kno. I would prefer to be able to look for cubs to buy without getting literally 2 pages of only 'Trade no longer available's. So, TL;DR remove the 'Trade no longer available''s in TC or at least make the time they stay there for a lot shorter. if anything i've said is unclear, feel free to ask for clarification lol |

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a little insight about this feature. With the recent update to the Trading Center, trades themselves are now indexed to make searching more efficient on our server. This means that the information is stored for a short period of time before being refreshed. It appears that the indexing rate is lower than expected - this means that the site feature is unfortunately not working as intended, so I'll be forwarding this along to our coders. The reason that it shows "This trade is no longer available" is to prevent trades that have been purchased from appearing in the search results, as well as to prevent blank pages of results when trades are no longer actually able to be purchased. Before the update to the Trading Center, when trades were bought out, they would leave gaps in the search results, leading to confusion, as well as a myriad of other issues which led to the Trading Center being reworked. I understand the feature may be frustrating, however it is necessary to reduce strain on our server. Again, though, the indexing rate should be higher than it currently is, so I'll be sure to notify our coders. 0 players like this post! Like? |
