Recently, I’ve been scrounging about the TC and Stud Search for clean pies, specifically for the older variations such as Bisected, Mosaic, etc. I used to not care about my lions heritage, but at this point I’ve made it a challenge to check and pick apart each potential heir’s heritage as an attempt to keep clean piebald variations afloat and hopefully boost their numbers.

And while every little bit helps, we’ve come to a rut with certain variations. Some pie varieties have gone extinct in terms of clean breeding, heavy piebalds especially, as clean studs and lions are no longer available and haven’t been for nearly a year or so.

I think a good solution to this would be to have a Special Raffle Lioness feature one of these ‘dying out’ variations once in a blue moon. That way, some clean piebalds can come back from extinction, but getting one will remain a challenge and a rarity.

If you have any thoughts or critics, let me know!

Mosaic is one of my favorite piebalds, but I refuse to use it for my kings as there are no clean ones available to my knowledge. I like like to keep my kings clean, at the least. (I prefer low gen, myself, when looking for clean lions, so I tend to not look past a certain point in the heritage if it's very long. So I may have over looked a few clean ones.)

I can't think of any draw backs to having this happen once in a long while, so support.

Edit: I found a somewhat active 2nd Gen. I apparently had somehow over looked them the other day.

This is to help many players that look for short heritage piebalds and look for through and through cleanliness. Most piebalds nowadays have inbreeding and the big four further down their heritage, which doesn’t stop them from being clean since there is more than one definition of clean in game, just means that some piebalds are not accessible to some people.

*sees this and instantly pushes support*

Someone I know tried this with the Heavy Piebald variant. The main argument was the fact that there are apps for Piebald. Sadly they took down the thread due to negativity. I hope you keep getting positive support. I'll show this to my clan. ^_^

I don't see how one can't just buy a pie applicator and throw it on their clean lion. Plus, it would take the rarity of clean variations out of the picture, thus tanking the market for some clean breeders.

With the original Piebald mutie on demand there's only a 1/7th chance to roll the heavy variant. There's literally 1 clean heavy pie on site and she's a old girl. I've gone through every single heavy pie too. The clean heavy pie bloodlines have pretty much died out. Every other variant has some degree of hope.

Edit: The lionesses stud rarely rolls so she's been around quite awhile. They roll once or twice a month from what I've seen.

I think the main problem with the applicator, specifically with the older, random variants, is that they are random.

I could buy several MoD: Pieblads and never see the one I want, thus shelling out hundreds, maybe, thousands of GBs for something that I wouldn't use. (I'm personally very picky when it comes to piebalds, especially on my kings, as certain piebalds ruin the design I'm going for.)
You can't even get them specifically from Black Friday either, to my knowledge. As it's a chance that you could get the older apps as a bonus item from buying a certain amount of GBs, the price in RL money alone that you could maybe see the variation you want is rather high.

Some of these old piebald variations don't even have low gen, or even clean lines anymore. Or if they do, the players that have them are no longer active/on hiatus.

I suppose another solution would be to split the old random applicators into their own individual apps, but I don't think the Staff would ever do this, honestly.

Just my thoughts on the applicators. ♥

Excellent point! I've always wondered why they didn't separate the original Piebald variants. They did it with the new variants released last black Friday. I actually think separating them would not only make it easier but won't damage the rarity of low gen clean pies much since getting it is random. There's what 10 Piebald morphs now? Separate all the patches and piebalds and everyone is happy without hardly damaging the prices. The more patch/pie variant apps available, the lower the number of each app in the game if you think about it.

If anyone has a clean heavy pie I would sell my whole lionesses and everything I own... I've also been searching the site as well... Then there's the mosaic which I am also looking for! I also used to not care about heritage but I finally became aware of it and now I'm also striving for clean lines... Mainly I want to breed her to make more clean lines as my boy is by big four definition clean but by inbred he is not... Then give people a lion they truly want... I actually did this with a person I got a deaf lion and gave it away as a present... And I got a clean lioness pie out of it too!

Sadly there's only 1 clean heavy left and she's almost too old to breed. I'd metaphorically sell my soul for a clean heavy. Lol. It's my favorite pie morph. I hope either this passes or they decide to split the old pie/patch morphs into their own apps.

tbh, I would prefer raffles over applicators. The MoD apps always felt.. cheaty. At least with raffles, there's the pride in accomplishing something.

Personally, I haven't been too big of a fan over piebalds and patches over how they could sometimes mess up how a lion looks. However, they are an interesting mutation, and I hope that there could be a higher chance for people to have some clean piebalds!
