Hello! I'm still pretty new here-I've only been here for about a month and a half- but I really love this game so far! I haven't gotten too far in the community yet but everyone seems swell as far as I can see. :) I've noticed that some people sell their art for currency. I was wondering if my art was good enough to do that and what price would be appropriate for it? Also, critiques are welcome if you have the time! It's been a little while since I've drawn something but I want to get back in the swing of things and get better! Here are a few examples: (I'm sorry I'm not sure how to embed images yet. Hi! I'm very new to this community, but I'm an art teacher and I think your art is SO close to being sold in real life. It reminds me of a lot of my old digital stuff. I really like it. ^^ Golden Skies is the best technically, in my opinion, it's really pretty :3, and it has a bit more detail than the other links. I like your use of expression, and you position your characters in an interesting way. The main distraction I see is your use of color and over blending. I recommend watching some of LavenderTowne's YouTube tutorials. I think once your work is just a bit more polished you can make all the real or digital money you want! 0 players like this post! Hello! I'm sorry about the late reply; it's been a busy weekend for me. Thank you so much for responding to my post and giving me a professional opinion! I've never had someone critique my work before so I was rather nervous. I do watch some art videos on YouTube but I've never seen any of LavenderTownes before; I'll be sure to check them out. You said that I have issues with my use of color and blending, are there any videos from them that you would recommend I watch first? If not that's perfectly fine, you've already helped so much. I agree with Finnick they made some very good points that sum up the feel of your work perfectly I’m no art teacher but I have been drawing both digitally and traditionally for a very long time I think you’re shading technique is unique and very well executed I love it to bring up another point while watching LavenderTowne's YouTube tutorials is a great idea try watching some Speedpaints by a bunch of different artists you’d be surprised what you can pick up on by just watching other people work 0 players like this post! Hi Rivah! Thank you very much for the second opinion; I greatly appreciate the time you took to critique my work as well. I've watched some art YouTube videos in the past but now that I know exactly what I need to work on, I'll focus on topics pertaining to those areas. I do watch quite a bit of speedpaints but most of the time I simply wonder at how people can be so good.
