Naturally she is strong of will and heart, standing up for what she believes in and never backing down. But she takes this to the extreme. Snappy and vicious, with an overprotective demeanor, a wrong look towards herself or Kira will get her teeth into the shoulder of any member of the pride. Sassy and dominant, she takes disrespect and orders from nobody, including the kings.

Talk of cubs is a conversation she avoids, because she's actually not sure if she wants cubs with Moonfur, though of course he doesn't know that. Nyota will jump into a pack of hyenas to save a pride member, or give the toughest male a beat down if he gets a toe out of line. She welcomes the presence of Kira always hiding behind her, making up excuses to keep the two together all the time. Also, Nyota never bites, snaps, or even growls at Kira. She loves the sweet other Queen like family.

Personally, the lioness has no respect for higher ranks just because of their ranking, but she'll listen to an adolescent and take true to heart their words if these lions roars actually meant something, or spoke sense. Nyota is known to lead hunts too, and keeps a close eye on the huntresses. She believes in pulling her own weight and if she finds anybody slacking, it'll be a bite or two for their poor fur at least.

Personality: The male is a restless individual struck with wanderlust, but also an individual willing to set down roots. However, he remains uninterested in the pride lifestyle due to a power-struggle that resulted in the ultimate disbandment of what he once knew as home. He never hesitates to chat up the local lions, even if Zak's unwelcomed into their home as an outsider, because he has very strong social tendencies. The lion is down-right clever, however, and will not hesitate to resort of dark advances. He has this almost feral core that gives off not only this mysterious vibe, but a strong sense of danger as well. He is not one to mingle with if your intentions are unfriendly, because blackmailing is a strength of his. Your secrets can be safe with him, if you convince him that it's worthwhile to shut his mouth (aka, give him something pretty). Zakhele is an overall chill and fun guy to hang around, but never turn your back on him.

History:The male grew up in a pride countless leagues away. It was a close-knit group consisting mostly of family members and the occasional outsider, but it didn't get to last long. As an adolescent, Zak watched as his pride was torn apart by his older power-hungry brothers. He fled for the safety of his own life, in case his siblings saw him as a threat to the crown, and he's been travelling ever since.

The male is almost considered a local merchant who not only comes with pretty wares, but interesting gossip as well. Currently he travels with his "pet", Hans, a jackal. He wouldn't trade his little buddy for the world. He's staying in the pride to rest his legs, and may stay permanently if he can be convinced.
