Not really sure what to start with, but lately I’ve been having a really difficult time with... everything. I have major mood swings, and when I’m down I feel really hopeless. I’m like that right now and I think it’s because I joined a private school this year after being homeschooled all the rest of my life. I get really really stressed out about every tiny thing and some days I just feel like I can’t. I get headaches every day and that isn’t helping either. I have dermatillomania and possibly pcos as well.
I write but recently I can’t seem to make myself write more than a few sentences at a time unless it’s dark poetry.
I can’t concentrate on my homework for more than 30 min at a time. I’m the weirdo at school and I don’t really fit in. My best friend for years has been my cat.

Basically I’m having a really crappy time and I would appreciate it if y’all could pray for me or something I’m sorry this is so disjointed. I am venting here because I don’t really have anyone I could talk to in real life and here I have anonymity.

Having been "that weird homeschooled kid" it does get better. Adjusting to an education system is hard, lonely and confusing. It takes time and plenty of hard knocks, but eventually you'll learn to run with your differences and find people who appreciate you for who you are.

Does your school have a councillor? It might be worth reaching out to them for some guidance, and they should be able to arrange some help for you regarding your conditions if they're causing you to struggle.

Most importantly, remember you aren't "weird" or "broken". You've been raised in a way that is different from your peers, so there will be some friction, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you.

Also remember that it's fine to make mistakes. It's a human thing that everyone does, and it's in no way an indication that you're stupid or not good enough. They will happen, and that's ok. You'll learn from them and all of the hardships you'll face and become a stronger person for it X

Thank you @Scruffleybeast, I really needed this today. Our school’s homecoming is this Friday and I am kinda overwhelmed. I think I’m doing slightly better though...

@TwoSwordsClash you've really welcome, I'm glad to have helped a little. As someone from the UK I'm unfamiliar with homecoming, however from what I can gather I understand why you'd feel intimidated and overwhelmed. It might possibly be a good opportunity to meet people, however I totally get why you might feel it's a bit too much social pressure.

Is it something that's sort of unavoidable, or would you be able to maybe chat with your teachers to find something to occupy you that you'd feel more comfortable with?

I'm glad that you're hopefully feeling a little better, take things slow and steady with yourself. I'm always happy to chat if you need to

As someone who has dermatillomania and im the weirdo in my school, i wish it gets better for you, i know how hard it can be and being homeschooled and then being put into a private school is indeed scary.. i remember the first time i was going to a new private school i was horrified, but it soon gets easier, but i will say, being able to pay attention is still hard for me, but im not sure if it will be hard for you in the future, i wish you luck!(sorry for being 3 years late tho)
