Appearance:
Nathaniel stands at an average height for his age, at around 5'7". He's a generally muscular teenager - however, he pales in comparison to some of the Careers trained in his District. He has enough strength to be considered proficient with a sword and a trident, as well as an efficient swimmer.

Both of Nathaniel's parents were of Asian descent; his looks don't mirror his parents', but he has inherited his mother's olive skin, and his father's chocolate-brown eyes. His hair is long, coarse, and black, reaching down to his shoulders. He usually ties it back into a ponytail, but oftentimes when he isn't outside in the water or on a horse, he leaves it down and prefers to just comb it back.

Personality:
Nathaniel prefers not to stand out in a crowd - he has a very small circle of friends, and an even smaller circle of family members. He generally prefers animals instead of people - he does better with his horse than any person he knows.

If he is forced to be around people he doesn't know, he usually keeps to himself. He will speak if need be, but he generally isn't one to be cooperative in any way. He will make allies if need be, but making friends with him tends to be difficult; he is in general a very shut-off person, and doesn't share easily. that being said, however, any sort of action against another tribute in the games wouldn't be an easy thing for him. If anything, he would distance himself from any other tributes to avoid conflict.

He's lived alone since the age of fourteen, after the death of both of his parents - his parents were well-known for actively defying Peacekeepers, and that eventually landed them in enough trouble to get themselves killed. Nathaniel grew up with their views, and as he has gotten older, he has begun to agree with them; however, he knows better than to verbalize how he feels about the Capitol and the Peacekeepers.
