This desert is mainly rocky. Ergs form only a minor part, and many of the sand dunes are over 180 metres high. Wind or rare rainfall shape the desert features: sand dunes, dune fields, sand seas, stone plateaus, gravel plains, dry valleys, dry lakes, and salt flats. This area is also marred by several deeply dissected mountains, many volcanic, that rise from the desert. The footlands of these mountains are found in the Rocky Hills.

Your greatest competition here will be Arabian Wolves, Baboons, Brown Hyenas, Hyenas, Puff Adders, Saharan Cheetahs, Striped Hyenas.
