How much is this lioness worth? I am newer to selling lions through the trading center and I have no idea! Have I posted her too high?

To be honest yes, that price is a long way above what she's worth imo.

High fertility is useful in the sense that generally you need to waste less energy on breeding attempts, but it's common and not worth anything extra. She's just a regular NCL - not chased or anything, and not in heat. So those typically only sell as fodder (often in bulk) at prices more like 5-10SB each.

Ohhhh okay, thank you so much! I had no idea whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, I just judge my own females by fertility percentage.

No worries! <3

Personally I definitely prefer high fert on my lions because of the ease of breeding, but in general terms VLFs tend to be a little more sought after for people hoping to breed random muties and not as bothered about using up energy :)

I know little to nothing about the specifics of breeding, I'm trying to learn what's good and what's not lol. I would love to learn to breed some muties, but I have a feeling I have a long way to go!

There's definitely a learning curve to the game and figuring out breeding etc, but you'll get the hang of it!

In terms of mutations, a lot of people like to breed VLFs, even as low as 1%, because the lower the lioness's fertility the higher the chance of a 'natural' mut cub being born - meaning without using specific mutation items. But the higher chance is very slight, and the 'free' aspect of not using items is a false economy imo; it could easily take dozens or hundreds of attempts to get VLFs pregnant, thus wasting all that energy you could be using on exploring etc and making a lot more money that way (especially months like this where event currency is so valuable).

In my experience it actually works out cheaper to save your energy for other things, and use items like cotton root barks for mut breeding attempts. They still have a low-ish success rate, but especially in bulk they tend to be what most people have the best ratio with of success vs. expense. But it's all down to personal choice :)

I didn't know you could even get a mutie from natural breeding! I thought it was only by items you could get one. I am desperately wanting to figure out how to get a primal male and female pair, and a dwarf male. I also quite love the Hyena and Cheetah coat colors. Anything on the unique side I tend to lean towards XD

Some mutations there are other requirements - for example primals, which can only be passed down (from just males, except for the primal ferus variation, where those females can pass primal too) or applied with the Mutie on Demand app from January. Primals are a nice simple one though because they do pass down relatively easily from the stud - including variations, so you don't even have to pay for e.g. a Felis stud to have a Felis cub born, just gotta be lucky.

Dwarfs are more expensive generally because it doesn't pass naturally except for the minuscule chance of a random dwarf popping up in any ordinary breeding. So lion scrotums are used to pass it down from a dwarf mother (not guaranteed, but 25% chance per cub).

Well dang, I missed January then XD
I'm guessing a Mutie on demand is quite an expensive item. Does a Primal stud have a high chance of passing down? Do people stud those out a lot, or no?

I might just have to wait on a dwarf XD

MOD for primal is actually the cheapest MOD out there. But cheaper would be to just buy a primal. You can get one for as cheap as 1 or 500sb even. You can easily get 1 for selling 100 uses of large carcasses (the ones that fill up 60% of hunger). You can also use primal studs for you ladies in heat for a chance of primal cub (as for your question - I think male has about 5% chance of passing primal mutation)

I can also just give you primal baby when my side king gives me one again

Oh wow, you would just give me one?!? I can try to save up from food and SB to trade for him if you wish! I'm so completely new to this game, I came back from hiatus and I'm trying to learn the best ways to make SB and all that. I practically sell everything I find to the Baboon...

That's a good way to earn SB but players usually give more for big carcasess than monkey. Especially if you sell in bulk.

Sure I breed mostly for feruses so I'm not really interested in "normal" primals. I should have at least one in the next few days. I will let you know when I do.
