So I've got quite a few Apps that'll pretty up my lionesses for sure, problem is, I don't know how and where is the prettiest places to put em.

So I've got a few questions for those who are more experienced in this subject:

- How do you decide what sort of markings you put on your lion and which slot?
- How are you able to decide what sort of markings go well with another?
- Most of my special marking apps are decided randomly from the four options, are you happy even if you get the one you don't want? Does it mess up your initial plans?

Overall, any feedback and advice is greatly appreciated!

it helps me sometimes to kinda pick a mark to "showcase" and to have a theme, so i can look at different options in wardrobe and decide whether they accomplish those things. like my main king i was focused on getting the prune rumble to look right, i wanted it to look more pink than it usually does bc i wanted it to be like pink and blue sour worms lol. my king on this account, i kinda wanted a dreamy space look, with blue to purple to more red-ish purple gradients, so i picked slots and opacities (and pose! different poses can make markings look kinda different) based on that

i use arctic with a high opacity on early slots, because i love it but i tend to want it in the background and 3/4 possible marks cover a lot of the lion and would cover a lot of markings on other slots. i like hibiscus on the first few slots because i like it but find it a little "much" and then i can put lower opacity markings over it to "tone it down". i like hoarfrost and gilded marks best on top, because they're flashy on top but can get lost easily at lower slots

some people get a bunch of an applicator and then use marking erasers so they can get the exact one they want! i always just check out every possible result with my design in wardrobe and make sure i have a plan for every possible outcome, because i don't want to use more than one app at once

if there's bases you like and breed for, that can help you pick markings too, bc you might wanna aim for markings that you really like with that base. like i love arctic and pulsar so even though you don't actually pass either often, i try to have lions that would have awesome cubs if they did pass it haha. you also might wanna pick markings that you like on your base's "fails", since you'll see a ton of them- part of what i like about arctic is that it fails to a bunch of bases that look okay with the markings i like

you should put together whatever marks you like the look of together!! i really like bright, candy kind of colors, sometimes paired with black and white. no lion is going to make everyone say "that looks awesome", everyone has different taste, so i think it makes the most sense to just breed the ones you like and sell them to people who like the same ones. if you don't have a firm idea of what you like yet, maybe you could go on "design my heir" type threads to see lots of examples of someone else's style, or look through all the raffle lionesses on the wiki

I'm afraid the wardrobe that doesn't help much. I actually use the wardrobe a lot, the problem is which marking looks best and what goes well with other markings.
