You are not able to leave the encounter to do anything else while you're claiming a lioness. It makes you go back.

The Injured Lioness encounter is part of the event and show up just like regular NCLs would (I believe). I think they can be chased sometimes but not always. Again, this is a presumption.

Claiming lionesses isn't a perfect science. Sometimes what works 80% of the time on most lionesses of a certain personality won't work. It happens. Raising your Impression level helps but its not always 100% even for Dreamboat. I can say that it does seem to get marginally easier though.

It sounds like she was indeed a Chased girl. These can be identified by having a Good or Evil pose, and/or a non-NCL base, markings, etc.

Regarding your attempt to claim, as the others have said, there's always a chance to lose any lioness, even with the best moves, even with Dreamboat.

Regarding the auto-claim, unfortunately, there is no way to acquire GB during a claiming unless someone happens to send you some. Keep in mind that asking other users over Lioden itself is considered begging, thus against the rules. Though if you play with friends that you communicate with off of LD, they might be willing to let you borrow some. Once you enter the claiming mini-game, you won't be able to access other pages on LD unless you either succeed, fail, or leave. If you're the type to spend a lot of GB, or keep it in bundles so you won't be tempted, I advise keeping some Leopard Orchids on hand. As long as they're in your hoard (not buried), you'll have a special button to use one during every claim.
