That's not entirely true. You can retire a lioness if she is on a breeding cooldown, since you cannot breed after 14 anyway. I've done it with mine. However it is true that you cannot retire her if she has recently given birth, then you have to wait the 5 days until the cubs are weaned if she turns 14 during that time. 0 players like this post!
