i see alot of people make RL clones their studs, or selling them for impressive sums of gb.
why is it that they're worth so much more than just "regular" pretty lions?

Starfruit mentions most of the key points: Raffle Lionesses have special, breed-only bases and often, all breed-only markings. These markings are sometimes new to the game (meaning ONLY this lioness has them at the time of their release) or the fact that they have so many markings that are breed-only makes them valuable regardless. This also goes for the skin, eyes, and mane color as well.

Additionally, these lionesses are typically collected as trophies because of their rarity. They go for a load of GB because of this and are seen as notable in the studding community :)

It’s possibly because raffle lions are already so expensive. Lots of people want clones as they look the same as the raffle lioness. That’s why there is high demand and the “regular pretty lion” becomes more expensive. Most people would pay more for a lion that is “special” because it is the “only” or few lions available in LD.

I guess it’s same for studs as the marks are special markings that can only be obtained through raffle lioness, NCLs, RMA, etc. Many want their cubs to obtain the special markings as it’s worth more.

So it’s mainly because of the markings and the demand that makes both studs and lion’s worth go up
