There isn't really a "best" Personality. It depends on what you want, actually!

You can see all the different ones at the Personality Snake.

I go for Stoic (Event Only) if I'm wanting to get my kings up to a higher level than I usually get. Or Heartless/Protective (Event Only) if I'm trying to build Evil/Good karma for them.

There's also Fatherly that lets you get two (2) cubs from the Giving Tree instead of one (1). And Candid will give you Enery back on a successful NCL claim!

But there's lots more than that so you'll have to look to see which one's best for your king and current playstyle! :)

Edit: Of course, since you're just starting out, you may want to pick a personality type (Snarky and Evil, Neutral, Kind and Good) that matches you're lioness so they lose less mood each Rollover. Neutral is a good one as it has no ill (or good!) affects on your pride.
