I never paid attention to this before, and I only just got back into the game, so...

If I retire my king and want to keep the current looks, will my (next/new) king have the same lineage as the one he had from the looks or from the heir?

Just trying to figure this out since inbred, high stat cubs might be worth some use to me IF my king would retain his clean lineage. If not, I shall proceed to yeet all those little buggers out of my home. :v

The king will take the heritage of the heir no matter which option you choose.

People will often use the May Groupie Adols to make their kings heritageless because of this.

I've only ever patrolled one up to 2.8k stats but I've seen far higher. If you patrol them year round and king when they hit 10+ years in April, you can use the spring to knock them down to 6 years.
It's a good way to get a statty heritageless king but takes a bit of work to do it that way.

Edit: Changed wording.

Oh, sorry for the confusion!

The way retiring works you always get the heir's heritage, stats, mutation and personality no matter the option you choose.
So if you keep your king's appearance and select an heir, he'd keep his appearance but have the heritage, stats, mutation, and personality of the heir.

You wouldn't be able to get the stats from the inbred cubs and make him clean. :,)

Again I apologize for not explaining it correctly the first time.

I see! I didn't know we could erase heritage with that event, that sounds neat~.
I might just try and do that at some point, even if it's a bit of work. At least then the inbred cubs would be of some use to me. :P

Thanks a lot for your help!

Ah, no that was my mistake really. Seeing it now i should have figured that's what you meant. Makes no sense to have heritage and such taken over, but stats not. And I DO remember stats being from the heir. XD

Sorry, my birdbrain kicked in again. (Should probably not read these important messages when I'm pulling an allnighter and nod off every once in a while, haha!)

Thank you very much for explaining everything! I'll make sure to note that down in my journal for the future. <3
