How do I get to level 2? I'm super confused lolol

There are a few ways to earn exp:
-In Explore: by defeating creatures in explore, you can earn much exp. There are also several encounters that might provide you with a bit of exp
-With Questing: in the Crossroads, there is a questing tab. By doing things for the snake, he will aware you with exp along with other things
-Subordinate Male duels: under your cave sun your den, there is an option to fight with your sub male. This would provide you with a bit of exp. Of course, if you don’t have a sub male yet, this won’t be an option.
-Attacking Other Prides: if you go onto another members pride page, you can find an option to attack them for: experience, impression, or territory. You can do this once every hour.
