Hello everyone !! New Lioden player here, just joined last month!

I was wondering if Journey to Vredefort Crater was worth it? There's a lot I could do with 5000 sb, but I don't have much of a clue what exactly the adventure entails so I was wondering if the more experienced player considered it to be worth it? Thanks !

It's tedious. The SB was the easiest quest requirement by far. I've been slowly working at it for like a year, but I'm ultimately too lazy to visit (if I remember correctly) 1000 player dens or cough up hundreds of herbs that I'd rather use for crafting. Costly as hell to buy from other players as well.

It might be a good idea to accept the quest sooner rather than later so that you can work on it slowly like I have, but the numbers of the quest requirements are so astronomically high that if you're the type of player that hates grinding in MMOs, you'll probably get burnt out. Reason why I don't play MMOs anymore

I'm in the middle of it currently, and I wish I never started. I can handle the herbs and fighting and food, but to visit 1,250 dens? HELL NO! I just finished the 250 quest, and my hand already cramps, I DREAD having to do 500! Not to mention, I don't think I'll be able to finish by the end of the event due to a few put backs in my real life that prevented me from finishing all my quests for a single day, plus the gorilla enclave quest taking 3 days, I don't think I'll get it in time and I wanna bang my head.

If it's worth it depends on your goals, really. I first joined this site late in July, and didn't even know it was a thing until after, when I saw people talking about it. I wanted the applicator to sell, so I started saving up herbs and things for the quest after looking up a guide, and started up the next year. Visiting the dens is okay if you save the link that takes you to a random den as a bookmark and use it until you get bored, the stop for the day. You'll get through it eventually. Battle beetles or hoard all your explore herbs and you can get the herbs you need over a year easily. I ended up selling the app for 70 GB, so that was worth it for me. Remember, you have to START it in July, but you can finish it anytime after that that you actually get everything done. It doesn't have to all get done in the month of July. They even make sure to have the Flood Pit open in August despite the drought theme of that event just to be sure people can progress through that part of the storyline during that month as needed.

I actually did not know I can continue it past July, so that has relieved some stress.

^_^ Oh yes. I don't think I finished until something like December. And I had all the herbs needed in one go, I know that's where a lot of people get hung up for a while. Take your time. :)
