So this theory came up with just a few Google searches starting with me just wanting to learn how to pronounce the name of our newest June combo base, Ennead. And what I learned was that the Ennead we're a group of Egyptians (following the Egyptian theme of the June event) who worshiped a group of gods including but not limited to; Bast, Anubis, Seth, and Tefnut. So maybe Tefnut could with be a goddess or just named after the goddess Tefnut? Whether this theory is true or not, I think it is a cool little Easter egg following the close connections to these two storylines. P.S. whether or not she IS a goddess she will always be a goddess in my heart. I <3 Tefnut. TLDR: Maybe Tefnut is a goddess?  2 players like this post! Like? |

Some friends and I actually realized that all of the names (Tefnut, Menhit, etc) were all based on gods— specifically gods that had lion heads/were related to lions :)) I think the family trio (apedemak, menhit, tefnut) are egyptian gods while Apollyon is the greek equivalent of Abbadon. Very cool seeing how Apollyon is different from the family trio in the storyline, while the gods they’re name after are from different “mythologies” as well. You can search up Apollyon, Apedemak, Tefnut and Menhit and they all come up as Egyptian gods, or somewhere in the mythology. I don’t think much about it but, does anyone else get the feeling there is a heavy relation from Lioden to the Egyptian mythology?  1 player likes this post! Like? |
