Hello, Pear here!

I want to open a lion auction with the pictures of the lions, but I can't figure out how to do it!

Someone told me to use this code without the *'s, but it didn't work!
<*img src*=*Image address* *width=500*>

Please help!!

You need to put quotations around the image address and the pixel width number

<*img src="link here" width="number in pixels">

leave out the * of course.

Edit: for example, I'll post your tag.

<*img src="https://static.lioden.com/images/tags/0/1/1865.png" width="150">

1865.png

(You don't have to put the width amount unless you're deliberately resizing the image to fit your formatting for your post.)

Mine still isn't working :'D
You don't have to explain if it's annoying to explain, but thank you so much anyway!

You might be using the url link instead of the direct link to your image - make sure you're right clicking the image, and choosing "copy link address"

If you're hosting using Deviantart, it's often very glitchy. Imgur provides "direct image links" in the link options, which is the one you need. Not the address bar url.

I was doing the right click and copying the image address, don't worry!
Do I need to make an account on Imgur? I've never heard of that website before!

Well it depends on which website you're using, sometimes they'll have different links.

You could try to open the image in a new tab so that it only pulls up the image and nothing else, and then copy the image address directly from there.

Other than that I can't tell you what you're doing wrong without seeing it, I'm afraid.

Edit: If the image you're trying to post is lioden safe - and you don't mind me seeing it - you can paste just the link here and I might can spot what's going on that way?

Every time I open the image in a new tab, there's like a teeny tiny white dot in the middle, but no picture!
Trust me, I've tried that too TvT

I think so? Whenever I'm on my lion's page and I right click their image, and click "open image in new tab" it does what I said

Ah so the reason that isn't working is that lion images on lioden are a set of layered images, not one single image. They can't be linked like that.

You'll need to use LioImage from LioExt to get that to work:

https://lioext.paigejones.me/#lioimage

From there you can create a png of your lion, and then upload it to an image hosting website like imgur.com and use the direct link from that website for your image.

Once you save it to an image hosting website it'll give a link like that ^^ when you copy the image url, and when you use it with the html instructions I posted previously you'll get this:

<*img src="https://i.imgur.com/zSIHzQy.png" width="500">

which minus the *, results in this:

zSIHzQy.png

I'll also put this here:
Is there a way for me to do this with cub/adol lions, but to show them as adults?

So I have been struggling with the same. I used your tips, but I end up with a blank picture. It has a picture icon in the left corner but does not show the picture. Any ideas?
