Hello :) The first thing i recommend is giving this wiki page for the november event a read through, It will be a big help all through the month so keep checking it when you get stuck :)

The only way to gain piety is from the 3 shamans on the event page. You can take 3 quests per day, each giving 2 or 3 piety per quest, from any of the shamans you like.. Each shaman will give one of 10 different quests ( 5 items quests and 5 explore quests) It's random which one they will ask you to do, Personally i prefer Sangoma because she has 1 less item quest and 1 extra explore quest so slightly less chance to be asked for herbs
