Oh good lord...

If I can remember that far back. I had just been fired from my first job that I had for almost 12 years (I was fired literally two days before my 12 year anniversary). And I was doing the usual job hunting online, but I was also still depressed and wanted to do something that wasn't involving job hunting.

I forget if any Lion King related forums still existed in 2014 or not. But I remember hearing about this cool new lion game, and I love lions (obviously, I'm still here).

So long story short, I joined and I've been hooked ever since. The early years were rough though.

I started on Howrse and a friend from there recommended me Lioden. Boy do I appreciate that lol, Howrse sucks ass. Shady business tactics, overpriced garbage, DELETED MY ACCOUNT I SPENT MONEY ON AFTER 6 MONTHS OF INACTIVITY... (only reason why I log on now is to prevent that, because I do care about my dumb little pixel horses)

I respect the mods of Lioden a lot more than Howrse mods. I feel that they care about the playerbase as people rather than dollar signs c: The game is less grindy, even during grindy months. Howrse, being primarily a competition game, feels like you constantly have to have the best horses or you won't progress as easily in events (most of which you can't actually get the top prizes in without paying)

Uh this turned into a rant sorry LOL. I just like how casual Lioden is. Even with a breeding project I'm working on I'm hardly ever stressed anymore.
