I didnt realize until now, that karma apparently exists and I thought I was doing good in game until I found out I'm on the bad side of karma. How do I raise my karma up? Like when doing exploring and simple tasks in game, I really never knew karma meant so much in game and i'd like to raise it to be positive,

To be honest karma really isn't very important because it hardly has any effect on gameplay. The only real difference it makes is some of the titles available for your king, and some Explore encounters which are exclusive to positive/negative/neutral.

I think the general consensus is that negative karma is actually more advantageous overall, especially because there's a particularly useful evil-exclusive encounter that drops white lion pelts, which means an ample supply of free toys/nest material to use or sell. I always stick to evil karma for my kings for that reason, and I've certainly found it a lot more profitable.

If you prefer to aim for positive karma though, you'd need to consider your choices during Explore encounters. And definitely avoid fighting NCLs, because that gives -5 karma each time. The wiki has lists of all encounters for each biome here, with karma effects included, and the karma effects of event encounters are mentioned on all the event pages too. It's a lot to keep track of though, so if your karma matters to you the easiest option is to pay the 1000SB to the karma snake (Crossroads > Quests & Snakes) to permanently reveal karma gains/losses for all encounters, so you can see the effects as you go.

The cleansing ichor item (Monkey Business, 300SB) will also reset your karma to zero, so that saves a lot of time and effort if you're wanting to switch but already have significant karma in the other direction.

Hope that helps! :)
