Hi!

As we know, there are many near raffle lioness clones (NRLCs) out there. We also know that there are many, many nuances to how close of a clone a cub can be before it's considered an actual NRLC.

So, I'm just curious to hear what conditions various people usually want met in order to label a cub a NRLC. At what point is a cub an NRLC as opposed to just a regular cub?

I'll use one of my own cubs as an example. She has 11/15 traits of the 1/29/2021 RLC. (Well, 16 traits if you include the mutation.) She's missing the special base (and skin because of it) as well as two marks.

Looking forward to hearing some thoughts!

Imo I might be a little strict, but I think an absolute minimum of 10/15 (2/3 of the traits) would be a NRLC. I prefer to limit it to 12/15 myself. But I've seen people consider 7 or 8 traits to be an NRLC so I'm not sure! That seems like not close enough to me.

I believe it is personal opinion. I consider 10/15+ to be NRLC but anything under is a good place to start if you are trying to get closer. I think a lot gets taken into consideration about it though. Because a 5/15 might not be a lot but it could be 5/10 markings from the RL/RLC. Some might consider that a NRLC because it is half the required markings. But a 5/15 could be the Base, Skin, Mane color, Mane Shape and Eyes with 0 markings, which I feel is FAR from the RL/RLC to be considered a clone. So it might just depend on what the cub has going for it.
