Work in progress. Do not expect this to be done for awhile. But still please ask questions!

I am making this specifically for the clan Do-gooders of LD!! but it is for all to use. Over the last year we have seen so many new players and some returning old players who haven't been on the site for years. This is here to either get all the information you need or to at least get though caught up to speed.

Table of contents
1. The wiki and how it's your friend
2. Clean and dirty breeding
3. What is desirable event items to get per month
4. What are current trends in desirable lions, affordable and expensive.

There's sure to be more but that's it for now.

The Wiki and how it's Your Friend

If you have been on lioden for any length of time you should have seen the wiki button in the corner. From newbies I have personally worked with, not many use the Wiki or know what to actually read on the wiki. Here is what to specifically read before continuing on your quest.

First you should look at the guides column and looking at the glossary. This will give you common phrases we use here on lioden, some of which I will be using here. link to glossary

Second you should read and utilize anything in the breeding tab! Most of them will become less utilized as you play, however the combo and base mutation pages are often utilized by yours truly. Mainly because base mutations is a non image heavy way to tell which base is breed only or not (more shall be explained in chapter 4) as well as what bases make combo bases (also explained in chapter 4). But that doesn't mean you won't have your own favorite pages to look at frequently! This is where I send my newbies to find out what they like in kings, such as mutations they love, bases they like, and potential combos they want to work towards. As well as to find out how to breed, what reverse breeding is, basically a huge how to on what you like mainly.

Thirdly the appearance tab. I don't personally use this much, but that is because it is
image heavy. But it is the best way to see all the bases up close in one place. as well as manes, skin, markings, and eyes.

The event tab is also super important! Read each months event tab, you can go ahead or you may just want to read event by the month we are in. I shall be elaborating on things you may want to buy each month, or what are gonna cost a lot later for you to sell in chapter 3.

Just read the wiki! Not every page is worth reading however most pages are great for understanding the game, items you need or want, what you like, and generally getting an idea of your play style.

This part of the guide will be further refined and updated later but for now this is what I have

Clean and Dirty Breeding

In this section we are talking about everyone most favorite and least favorite subject! First let me link Jax's history of clean breeding, read this before continuing, it is also a lot of reading however it gives the definition pretty well.

Jax's Clean breeding forum link

So if you have read that I am going to go into some common things I have been seeing being asked.

IS my lion dirty or a part of the big four if it is related to "insert name here"?
No a lion is only considered dirty if they are inbred or are related to the big four which are these 4 lions, The savannah prince, Boombah, keysor Soze, or hot hot tater tot.

HOWEVER many people are black listing any high stat, low gen boys with cubs over a certain threshhold, I am seeing 1000 being the most you will see. However if you get a high stat low gen boy related to these boys, you will still get stud requests, this community is very small from what I have seen. As well ysdaar is the most black listed because he is hard to not have in your lines.

I have a long gen but its completely clean, why is no one stud requesting?!

Sadly this has what happened with the market. There will still be stud requests if you get a good enough king, and your kids may still go for a good price. My long gens usually still compete with the short gens and get bought out. But so many are switching to breeding for gen 2 to 6. That the shorter gens are becoming more desirable.

I don't care about dirty breeding, but I don't want to lose money because I have a dirty lion I want to sell, or stud out. How do I do that?

This is the hardest part when it comes to the dirty vs. clean breeding. The sad thing is if you have a dirty lion, most people will say its not worth that because its technically dirty. It may be true your lions are worth less to the public. But so many people buy for looks and not heritage, so price what you think its worth. PM me if you need pricing help!

I am personally a clean breeder, both of my boys are 2nd gen. But I also dirty breed myself for projects and such. A dirty boy may get a ton of stud requests, or else Indra would never get any studding (he is a super stat monster who is dirty) this is for you to decide how you want to play! and that's how its meant to be. Don't feel bullied into going clean, I have contacts who may be willing to help you if you are looking at possibly wanting a how to make it by unclean breeding.

End for now, work in progress
