Well, it's been a long time since I've tried anything new, and been a newbie!

Hello all! Name's Hxnd, and I'm new here! I've been playing (or trying to) for about a week or so now to get a feeling for the game and I've come to really enjoy it a lot, though I'm a bit confused in places since I've come from a fairly easy game to find this one (specifically Flight Rising).

I guess a question I have is how to improve my silver beetle earning skills, as well as what are some abbreviations/terms I should familiarize myself with in order to better understand the site?

(I'm also SO up for looking for friends/people to interact with on the site if there's any way to put myself out there beyond this thread)

Thank you so much in advance for any replies, and I wish you a nice time of day/night where you are!

- Hxund, out!

Here is a helpful wiki page that lists pretty much all of the abbreviations people commonly (and uncommonly) use :)

You can gain a decent early income from selling food in the trade center to other players. The convenient amount people tend to like is: 100 uses of food (medium/large carcasses - not otters, meerkats, etc) is worth about 1000 SB or 1 GB. Quicker way is to gain event currency by exploring and/or working through questlines depending on the event. You can sell some of the stuff from the event shops to other players. Branches and trade center are good places to see the current going rates. Usually the best time to sell for the most money is about half a year after the event, as people run low on their stocks of certain items. Breeding items and apps are almost always the best thing to purchase, but it depends on the item as some are more coveted than others ^^;

Here is another link to the wiki. Each monthly event is different, and some are more explore-heavy or battle-focused than others. Some have storylines in addition, but some don't. I'd recommend reading through the event guide for each event at either the end of the month or right at the beginning :) Even I need refreshers for some of them!
