Hi, no specific rules, nothing inappropriate, specifically nothing graphic, little cussing, nothing racist. TY! I will set the scene, An irritating rattling sound wakes you from your dreams. you are in what seems to be a beautiful oasis, but something seems slightly off, suddenly you realize that beautiful scenery has what looks like about a dozen wolves and drakes with spears, slowly emerging from the dense undergrowth. one of these wolves has instead a small string with a ball attached the source of the noise. each one of these foes has a mask covering their face and they have trapped you in this clearing! suddenly their leader, a female dragon, her shimmering wings being dragged behind her like weights, "You were found along a creek about a mile off from here" she says interestedly, leaning forward, "my second in command found you" she gestures towards the winged wolf with the noise maker. "Lady says you were injured, barely alive. you must've gone far." She leans slightly closer, not a bit afraid, "you aren't the only one, we've found several around the same spot, in the same condition, not all of you are awake yet though." Lady watched as the dragon, Queen Dusk Night, Leaned foreword, telling another of stranger of how they were 'found' by the stream, leaving out the blue creatures from her recent prophecy. The strangers had been found, close to death by these echos of past lives, brought here for who knows what. The night before each one was brought, lady would have a dream of the spirits carrying them here, she had not yet encountered the spirits herself though, no one had seen them as far as she knew. 0 players like this post! He came to with blurry vision and a deep breath. A paw stretched into his field of view the movement strained as if he had been sleeping for days. Dakota blinked for clearer sight examining the outstretched paw. All the while his mind attempted to sift through what exactly had happened. His head throbbed with the effort to make sense of the brutality that had obviously occurred. A soothing voice had his ears alert. Forcing himself to roll to his belly, Dakota lifted his head and glanced uneasily around the guarded clearing. Heterochromatic eyes searched for the feminine voice which spoke, successfully landing upon an elegant dragon. From the distance in which he listened he was able to pick out where they were found and how. Throwing his attention to his own flank, a new scar was found among torn feathers. Frowning, Dakota stretched out his left wing to survey the damage. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lady's attention snapped back to the present, this wolf was alive! she strained to keep composure, few of the strangers were gotten to soon enough to save. she turned to the Queen who was not maintaining good composure, her face an expression of surprise and delight. "Dusk" lady said nervously, nudging her close friend. she waved her over towards her before whispering, "we should show him around, he might be of use to us." The Queen looked at her, visibly rolling the thought though her mind, she seemed hesitant before slowly answering, "Yes, but I want you to do it, and you need to take a guard." she paused before adding, "For your protection." Lady got a distinct feeling the queen didn't trust the Echos ever since her first vision of them, but she never told her why, she also seemed not to trust the strangers that the Echos brought either, although obviously curious of them. 0 players like this post! From examining the scar, Dakota pieced together that he must have fallen. Was he attacked? Had he scraped a tree? No, from the marks of the wound he was most definitely attacked. Pulling his wing to his cranium, Dakota nipped at the lesser coverts that had primary been damaged. The injury would not affect his flight but it must have pained him enough to lose control in the moment. Everything was slowly coming back. The war stricken face of a young lioness, the cries of battle in the air and on the ground. The wolf flinched when another voice hurriedly joined the first. He opted not to entertain the voices, instead focusing on his own event. As he did so the noise level seemed to drop and he lost all of what they were speaking about. 0 players like this post! Lady lifted her head, looking to the wolf. "As My Queen, Dusk, already mentioned, I am Lady. Welcome to Abrevia. I will show you around when you are ready, until then, feel free to rest here, you are still recovering after all." she turned to the queen, who looked satisfied with her welcome and signaled to most of the guards to head back to their posts, leaving lady and the stranger with two. After she left, Lady reached towards her Sachel, itching to give the wolf medicine. they were low on most medicine in this dry season though, the creeks and lakes being half they were just a few months ago, there was also no infection to the wound, but that wouldn't stop the pain. 0 players like this post! The wolf's starts to twitch cleary from a bad dream before jumping up And his mouth covered with foam, his ear's twitch and his bright blue eyes look at the ground for a moment before snapping up His fur bristles on end and he scans all around him on high alert His attention immediately turn's too the winged wolves and he starts to back away to a safe distance, still keeping his defensive position and he watched the wolves with caution He felt A sharp pulsating pain in his whole body but he manages to stay upright and defensive 0 players like this post! Dakota instinctively tore his wing away from sharp teeth as he hit a sensitive nerve. Only then did he realize the stranger was now talking directly to him. His gaze searched over the dark furred she wolf, his ears tugging back. Show him around? Who said he was staying? A light growl formed from the back of his throat before it died. Why pick an argument now? They were only trying to help. He knew how he had gotten here. "Why?" The word came quietly at first before he picked it to a higher note. "Why take us here? Why not just leave us where we were found?" Dakota looked around his attention landing upon a sleek brown male as he slowly stepped back away from the center of the clearing. 0 players like this post! Lady Looked over to the other wolf, big for a wolf, she notes. Two wolves found the same day, both living. Lady thinks of this miracle, before noticing both wolves looked uncomfortable. the bigger one seemed outright hostile for a wolf who was saved but the other one seemed to be stifling it. "Don't worry" she says, "we are just curious about where you came from and why you were brought here, you will get to leave after a few questions." she smiles, "unless you want to stay, you can eat soon, I would like to show you around first though, if you'll let me." They will hopefully get to go home She thinks. Lady raises her voice a little to make sure the wolves hear "have you seen a blue spirit, an Echo?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

His ears perked up at the word food Which then deciding that if he needed he was ready to attack so he crept closer He then sat down closer but not to close to them, he still looked like he would jump on either of them in seconds but he also looked more relaxed than before He looked at you two noticing how he was always a bit bigger In a way he liked that fact but he shook his head clearing his thoughts and looked at the female "Questions tour than food" He seemed like he diddnt know many words or couldnt speak well...you couldnt really tell He was just getting what he considered task lined up as he learned to be the only thing important 0 players like this post! Dakota tucked his wing against his flank. His flicking gaze watched as the other male crept closer. He still appeared tense but seemed lured by the thought of a meal. Now that it came up, his stomach grumbled lightly. Shaking his head, Dakota turned his thoughts back to why he was here. Lady mentioned a spirit, or questioned about one. Searching his fuzzy mind, he shook his head gently. "Not that I can remember. Everything's a blur." Sitting up, Dakota tilted his cranium. He could barely remember how he was injured. He dipped his head carefully. "I suppose I'm prepared to learn more about this place. Abrevia, you said? How did it get its name?" The wolves seemed to be less hostile now, one of them seeming excited just for food. she looked at the other one now, slightly disappointed that he did not see the Echos. "Abrevia is a place" lady searches for the right word before continuing, "for the lost. you have been sent here for a reason by the Echos, last little pieces of life from otherwise dead creatures. every hundred years or so the Echos have brought a dozen or so strangers to this land. this was actually how Abrevia came to exist, the first few lions who survived enough from their injuries realized they were too far from home to simply go back. they named this place after the only female to survive that year." His muzzle scrunched and he though about what she had said Lost? His mind started to race with thoughts as he considered himself Lost and he realized neither of them were in the least bit hostile towards him So he calmed down and his ears relaxed where they were sitting in a more comfortable position And he started thinking again This time thinking that echoes sounded alot like ghost "Ghost?" 0 players like this post! Lady looked at the strange wolf and laughed, seeing the connection. "No, not ghosts, ghosts can't hold living things, they also are here for specific reasons, holding grudges or trying to apologize for things. Echos are more like when a creature dies it might leave a memory of it behind, which then stays on the planet while slowly fading away. we don't really know much about them, the only creatures that seem to have seen them are the ones they bring to places, the ones they save." she sat down, seeing the hostility leaving their body. 0 players like this post! He nodded getting half of what she said He stood up with his ears perked again "Food" His stomach growled, and he came practically grumpy when he was hungry He looked over at the other wolf knowing he was hungry too When his stomach growled and he looked at her again With his ears perked, intrigued about what she was telling him but also he wasn't paying Very close attention he was more worried about food over anything at the Moment 0 players like this post! Dakota listened intently. He wasn't lost. He simply had to get to the air and he would know which way was home. Now thinking about the skies, he cast his gaze upwards. With most of the masked creatures gone, the sound of birds began to swell. He studied the trees around them, the species unfamiliar to him. Keeping calm, Dakota looked back to the others suddenly realizing he knew her name, but he had failed to give his own. "I wish I could remember if I had happened to see one. The last thing I do remember is fighting, and then falling." He cast his attention to his paws. At this point he knew he failed at something, some task he was given. Shaking off the growing anger he looked back to them again. "I'm Dakota." His tail managed to gently sweep the ground as he finally introduced himself. 0 players like this post! Like? |
