Roles

Ruler - (King, Queen, emperor, lord, etc.) highest ranking lion in the pride. They rule the pride are responsible with protecting the females. They help lead ceremonies and have to overwatch the naming and The Assignō.

Royal family- Close relatives and mates of the ruler. They have rights over the pride but essentially dont have to do any of the roles unless they want to or need to

Heir- The next in line. Usually born of the ruler and will be trained by the ruler themself until they are deemed ready to be given control of the pride.

Monarch - The mates of the ruler. They are favorited and are apart of the royal family.

Shamans- They are right underneath the ruler. They perform many duties based on their skill. Councilers, broodmothers, teachers, priests, healers, and even role namers. They are highly respected and their word is law, under the ruler of course.

Tutela Tutelas, much like the king, protect the pride. They watch over the royal family and the broodmothers.

Grand Diplomat- a lion who helps represent the pride and is in charge of the territories foreign policy- how it interacts with other pride lands

General- Lead hunter and trains other lions to hunt

Wardon- enforces laws and carries out all the killing the king needs

Royal Enforcer- helps the wardon enforce laws

Hunters- They hunt food for the pride

Gatherers Gatherers go out into the territory and sometimes other territories to find herbs for the shamans, nesting, and even hunting spots for the hunters.

Broodmother- They protect young cubs while the mothers are busy with their duties

Younglings Newborns to 1 year olds are called younglings.

Adolescent 1 year old to adults are called adolescents

Sine nomine Younglings that are below 6 months old or have not weaned are named Sine Nomine (Meaning no name) until the ceremony that they earn a name



Shaman Roles


renāscor Chosen by the gods as a newborn this baby has the role of shaman and is immediately removed from the mother to be trained to control their special ability. Unlikes the other cubs their roles will be up to the gods and not up to the shamans



Hunter Roles


General- Lead hunter and trains other lions to hunt. Addressed as Huntress


Hunters- They gather food for the pride. Addressed as Hunters no matter their gender

Left Wing Hunter- circles the prey on the left side, often initiates attacks

Right Wing Hunter- circles the prey on the right side, often initiates attacks

Middle Centre Hunter- Stationed right behind the party and only attacks when the prey runs towards them

Right Centre Hunter- Stationed to the right and only attacks when the prey runs towards them

Left Centre Hunter- Stationed to the left and only attacks when the prey runs towards them

Squire - An adolscent in training to become a hunter
