In a world grown frigid with whiten snow and bitter cold, not many thought survival possible. For the caninekin, the world as they knew it soon became a distant memory of the past. Replaced by a brutal strive for survival against not only nature but also fellow canine. For decades chaos reigned supreme as societies scrambled to find a way to survive. One after another falling into the darkness. The memories of them to be forgotten below the growing snow. And when things seemed night impossible that the world, that no light remained, a breakthrough came about. Steam and iron towers that could generate warmth so villages could be rebuilt. Soon the towers became bigger and bigger as nations started to rise against the odds of the dying planet. Their settlements turned slowly into countries of hundreds to thousands. This story will follow the settlement country of Aeternus. One of many that once struggled that now thrive. However, this settlement that boasts a capital of gold also harbors within itself cruel practices that its people watch akin to reality TV.

The Hunger Games.

From ages past after many failed rebellions, the Golden City has deemed it necessary to round out youths from the districts that surround it to pit them against each other in a bloody game of triumph and tragedy. For the canines of the capital, it is a mere game yet for the districts it is a cruel reminder of the capital's power and might.

However, after a long years of stability, something stirred in the Capital. An assassin of unknown origin found the poisoned blade of their dagger in the throat of the president. Some said it was the doing of rebels. Others fearmongered of the dealings of another settlement country. Whatever the case seemed like the districts got the blame for it. The people wanted them to pay for the crime they believed the districts had committed. And pay they did. The current Hunger Games were cancelled and all the participants executed. Yet that wasn't enough to satiate the bloodthirst of the capital. Many lives were lost. Most innocent. Some perhaps not. It was only when a new president rose to take the reins did things finally calm down. For now. Yet the next Hunger Games are looming on the horizon. And the districts may know fear once more.
