Using items listed below will give you XP, and the reason XP is great for February is because every time you level up your lion you get a full bar of energy, so saving all your level ups for February is a great way to maximize your explore time, listed below are some items that are good for increasing your XP.

-Giant tortoise
Using this item on your king will get you 400-800XP, 1 use, 1-2 in TC/branches.

-Broken drone
Using this item on your king will get you 50XP, 1 use, 200 on branches.

-Coconut
Using this item on your king will get you 50XP, 1use, around 100 on Branches.

-UAV Drone
Using this item on your king will get you 20XP, 1 use, around 150 on branches.

-Roasted lambs/red bulls (These can be bought from Branches for 2)
Eat it! For the next 8 hours, you pride leader's energy will refill by double each time (20% every 15 minutes instead of the typical 10%) Doubled energy regeneration only works if your leader is at 59% hunger or lower.

-Meat pies (These can be bought from Branches for 8-10)
Cooked by baboons, seasoned by the scorching sun - this special pie will refresh your energy to 100%, and has 5 uses.

-Hyena butter (these can be bought from Monkey business for 100)
Using this will reduce the amount of Newly claimed lionesses in explore which will increase the amount of February encounters.

-Coffee beans (these can be obtained from the Jan Treasure hunt event)
Steps in explore only take 1-2% energy instead of 1-3% energy. It lasts 15 minutes, and can be used with other energy items.

-Bone marrow
This tasty treat will boost your lions energy by 20%! You can only use it once per account per day, you can find these in Monkey business for 80

-fermented Marula fruit
By using this fruit it will either give you 10% energy, r take away 10% energy, so make sure to only use these when you have no energy left.

-Every time you level up your king you get 100% energy so SAVE UP your level ups for February, it's one of the best and most well known ways to grind.

-Every time you complete a quest in Gorilla enclave you can get up to 60% energy as an extra reward, so keep this in mind while grinding.

-Make sure you read on the lioden wiki about the February encounters, because some encounters can have more or less heartshells then others, or you could even leave the tab open to view while exploring.

-During the event you can Flirt with other players lionesses every 15 minutes, a successful Flirt will earn you +1 Flirt Point and +1 Heart Shell. If a player tries to slap you away from their lady, but you're just too charming, you will earn between +1 Flirt Point and +1 to 3 Heart Shells, if you really wanna grind, I'd suggest setting a timer for every 15 minutes to remind you to Flirt.

-I would recommend buying a Sangoma lion mask from the personality snake for 400, this mask will let you choose a personality for your king, one of the personalities is Hyperactive, if you choose this personality you will get an extra 30% energy when you explore.

-NEVER sell your heartshells, people generally buy HS for a 5-8HS-1 or 5-10 for a Buffalo scrotum, Buffalo scrotums can sell for up to 35 (max) out of month! So DO NOT sell your heartshells, no matter how intriguing it is, this is a classic beginners mistake.

-Do not enter battles in explore during February, even if the battle rewards you with heartshells, each battle won will take 10% of your energy, if lost, 5% but no heartshells as a reward, AND you could get around 4HS from encounters with that 10% energy.

-NEVER buy heats. Each heat you buy can cost , while some can be feeless, but either or will most likely require you to use 20 Yohimbe barks, which cost 30HS from the Flirt shop, these can sell for a whopping 20 out of month, and it's only a small chance that you'll actually get a gon/pon/du or whatever the heat was for out of the heat, it's a big gamble and definitely not worth it.

-Buffalo scrotums
These cost 60HS from the Flirt shop, and can sell for up to 35 each out of month.

-Yohimbe Bark
These cost 30HS from Tier 3 of the Flirt shop and can sell for up to 30 out of month, but are usually not in high demand.

-Lion scrotum
These cost 80HS from Tier 3 of the Slap shop and can sell for up to 60 out of month.

-Grain of paradise
These cost 30HS from tier 2 of the Flirt shop and can sell for up to 20 out of month.

-Any base apps, these can sell pretty well out of month.
