I did the work so you don't have to! This is a good place to start if your new. I'll show you the combo and breed-only bases as well as provide some good updated list of guides you can use.

Veterans may also link the guides they like most that aren't listed in the comments below so keep commentary to a minimum.

The bases are spoilered for both the slow babs and for the efficiency of time so you can simply find the group you want and unspoiler it quickly and easily.

Bases are the foundation of your lions appearance! But there are so many!

This guide will give you a basic understanding of bases and provide you a quick location to find breed-only and combo bases.

You can use this to build your understanding and of these bases as a new player and work with this to help yourself better remember which ones which.

This will not cover NCL, Applicator, or Costum bases.
For those you can go to a more comprehensive guide. This one is simply a quick go-to for your B.O./Combo base needs.

Here are some more comprehensive lioden guides I suggest if you need something a bit more in-depth:

Complete Guide to Combo bases
List of comprehensive Guides to Lioden
Complete Breeding Item Guide
Guide to February
Complete January guide

Base groups and what that group means:

Breed-only: Can not be applied through any means and can only be bred down onto the cubs.
-
Combo: cannot be applied through any means and must be bred through a specific pairing of bases
-
Applicator: can be applied with an applicator and needs at least one parent to be passed on.
-
Custom: can be applied to any lion with a base changer
-
NCL: bases that are found on NCLs.

Each group has its own range of bases. These will be listed below in their own individual posts!

Combo bases:
These bases are only achieved by breeding together specific bases. Combo bases cannot be applied by any means.

> no special requirements

If no paw then the special requirement is listed below the corresponding image with a star next to it ⭐
Content has been spoilered for the slow babs of lioden.

Some combos are set up differently then others. Some combos are these base + base. And others are base + base OR base +base. Pay attention when looking through the selection of combo bases.

Breed-only bases
Breed-only is often abbreviated or shortened to "Bo"

Breed only simply means that the only way you can get it is through breeding, it could be through breeding to that specific base, or just through breeding in general.

Here I will list all the Breed only bases in one of two segments

Rare and Special.

The bases will be spoilered in their respective segments for the slow babs of lioden.

Please note, that a rare breed-only basedoes NOT secure any amount of innate value in the base itself. It simply means that they cannot applied to a lion in any way, no apps or anything will be able to place these bases onto your lion. A lion must be born with a breed-only base to have it.

A special breed-only base will have a certain degree of mild value to it even if the lion is dirty or long gen due to the base having it's requirements.

Rare breed only bases.

Next up is the Special Breed-only bases.
Special breed-only bases are different because at least one parent needs to have the base for it to pass onto the cubs.

According to the wiki(directly and word for word):
Celestial, Dawn, Jellyfish, Leonid, Prismatic, Sidereal, Skyward, Stratosphere, Sunrise, and Sunset are bases that are only released on event-only raffle lionesses during July.

Bushveld, Haze, Lilac, Orchid, Pearl, Pecora, and Sepia are occasionally released on weekly raffle lionesses year-round.

Abyssinian, Damu, Nudar, Ripe, Sahara, Sunspot, and Wine are released through groupies during May.

Bandit, Outlaw, Ruffian, Scoundrel, Ukame, and Vagabond are released through event studs during August.

Kimanjano is only found on first generation Leopons and their descendants.
Mandarin is only found on first generation Tigons and their descendants.

(The amount of times I had to start over here... Unreal and wrath inducing)
