I think it would be cool to have a missing limbs mutation. It could be something lions are born with (or when aging up, but I don't fully agree with the idea). I don't know much about the art, but I think it would be fairly easy to do. This mutation would be different from the tailless mutation, but if needed, a missing tail could be part of it.

Research: About 5% of most species are born missing a limb, but this number is higher in some species. This stat does not include partially missing limbs (ex. half a leg/stub instead of a paw) .Lions can lose their limbs from fights, disasters, birth problems/defects, and hunting. It isn't known what causes birth defects like missing limbs, but problems in the mother, like sickness among other things, could be the reason that abnormalities happen.

It would be completely up to the Game Artists whether or not it can occur from aging or hunt/patrolling, or if it is lethal or not, and any other decisions that might need to be made. I say this because it shouldn't be too hard of a task to add if it doesn't have to be. If you have an opinion on this, please feel free to comment
