I think that there should be a search bar in your hoard.
I find myself feeding the Food that expires sooner first to my lions, rather than the food I just found.
It takes a long while to check, and see which expires the soonest, so I think it would be easier to have a search bar to search for the food that will expire in (Amount of days)

Whenever you use an item, and if it has another use, you have the option to go back to the item, right?
I think it would also be a good idea to have an option to go back to the stack if you have more than one of that item, and you've just used up the one you just used.
