The Weary Way

Passing through this unknown territory, you find its eerie stillness a bit nerve-wracking. But the beauty of the land draws you further in and you soon find yourself striding through the golden rays of the sunlight. Though, for as sunny as it was, the land itself seemed to be in a constant state of gloom.. it was almost melancholy. Nevertheless, you continued your journey, enjoying the warm light and subtle breeze, until you catch a glint from the corner of your eye. To the right, just a short distance off, was a lovely array of decorations and accessories, all organized as if for display.

What you hadn't noticed while looking at the trinkets, was the lioness that lay nearby. She wore a slightly unnerving mask formed from a lion skull, and within the sockets of that skull, a pair of clouded eyes seemed to stare right through you.. Taking note of your arrival, she rises from her resting place, and greets you curtly.

"Welcome traveler.. I'll keep this brief. It is my duty to guide any who wander here safely through our pride's territory, many dangers lurk here. As for what you see here-" She gestures with her paw, "This is my pride's branch. We mostly carry decorations and other such trinkets and accessories, but occasionally we'll throw in other items. Feel free to browse while you're here, but don't take too long. Its not safe for outsiders to stick around here. Just inform me when you're ready leave, and I shall escort you out."
