Knick-Knacks and Wares
As you trek the plains of the Nightland pride, the wind blowing cold and cruel, you spot a small cave. With a sigh of relief, you hurry toward it. Once inside, you see a lioness and her cub, who was playing with a skull. " Come now, Corvus, don't tamper with the merchandise. " she scolded, scooping up the cub and plopping it beside her. Sensing your presence, she shifts her gaze to you. " Oh, do come in deary. I can't imagine how you managed the storm outside. " she beckoned to you with her tail. You inched closer, not taking your eyes off of hers. They were a milky white, so you guessed the lioness was blind. ` Not a very smart decision to have a blind lioness run a shop. ` you thought privately. " I can run my shop just fine, thank you. " the lioness snorted, causing you to jump. Could she read minds? " I can see just as well as any other lion. Well, not really. I've grown quite accustomed to being blind. " she rambled. " Can you.. Can you read minds? " you asked, almost unbelievingly. " Yes, dear. It was part of my training. I'm a shaman, you see. " she explained. After a moment of silence, the lioness cleared her throat. " Well, if you're here, you might as well take a look around. Doesn't look like the storm is going to stop anytime soon. " { Note ; I try to update as often as I can.
