History:
He was first spotted trailing behind the king, with a storm darkening the sky and the wind raging against the both of them. His eyes were bright in color, yet expressionless, as if only to act as a mirror for all that transpired around him. Some mock, tease, and taunt him for this; he says nothing, does not defend himself. Instead, he quietly listens at the edge of the pride, ever vigilant, ever calm and deadpan.
His ears flickered that one day when his old king approached him before silently rousing him to his paws. He had been told by the same King, oh so long ago, that he would become king in a pride close-by. However, plans seemed to have changed for, this time, the king appeared reluctant yet also happy. In this, it could be gathered that something extraordinary would occur soon.
He watched silently and emotionlessly as an unfamiliar king pushed forward gems, wrapped delicately in a large leaf. Then he padded to the new king's side when his king pushed him forward. In that swift movement, he knew this was farewell and a bitter rage filled inside of him. However, he held it in and padded quietly away from his king, his mother, and his pride mates.
As he spent time with the new king, he could not say with determination, that he still held bitterness. He was dotted on by the king and queen nearly constantly, which annoyed him at times. However, it opened his eyes to the fact that, while he had closed one door that day, he had opened so many others as well.
