7/25/23 | #393025 | Naomhaich was shocked to find a cub travelling all on their own. They immediately call one of their broodmothers 'Nike', to keep an eye on her while they go about their duties. They remind Nike to watch for any signs of sickness in the cub, to give them some medicine anyways to perhaps help with anything unseen, groom out the dirt from the cub's travels if the cub so allows, give every necessity the cub needs, and to ALWAYS treat the cub as one of their own. Nike huffs, she already knows this information, but Naomhaich just wants to make extra sure the cub is safe- she respects that. At nightfall, Naomhaich brings the cub into their personal den, wanting to separate her from the rest of the pride due to possible spread of disease. They curl their large muscular body very carefully around the little one, making sure the cub is comfortable and warm enough to survive the frigid night. In the morning, they solemnly send the cub off along her travels. Worried, they send one of their falcons to guide and protect her, hopefully until she's safe back at her home. When Cub kicks up a stink about training today, Grandpaw Lethiferous pulls them aside to give them a few heartfelt words of encouragement. Although Cub pouted the whole time, they came back to the training area and meekly told you they were ready for today's tasks.
Cub is in trouble for fighting with another cub. They're making loud demands about never wanting to train with them ever again. Grandpaw Lethiferous sits them down and points out that a pride can only function if every member agrees to work together with everyone else; he explains how it's beneficial for everyone. Cub pouts, but agrees to give the other cub another chance.
When one of the broodmothers told Grandpaw Lethiferous that Cub has a penchant for bullying, Grandpaw Lethiferous took his grandcub aside. He made sure that they apologised to everyone they tormented, and told them to shape up - no grandcub of his would hurt others!
You see Cub froze in place after they threw a rotten egg in the direction of another cub. It seems like they ended up hitting Grandpaw Lethiferous right on the head instead. He lets out an exaggeratedly-annoyed growl as the gross, smelly yolk drips down his mane and muzzle. Cub prepares to be smacked, but instead gets some of the yolk smudged all over their face! Grandpaw Lethiferous laughs at the cub's reaction and pats them gently on the back before ushering them to a nearby body of water to get cleaned off.
"It's okay to make mistakes," Grandpaw Lethiferous rumbles to his grandcubs. "We all make mistakes. I do, your old man does - even though he thinks he' s infallible," Grandpaw Lethiferous winks at you. "I'll tell you about one mistake your old pop made when I was king..."
Cub got distracted by a pretty butterfly during training and missed their cue to pounce. Once they realised what they did, they broke down and began to wail in front of you, thinking they'd be severely reprimanded. Grandpaw Lethiferous hushed them and told them that everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and that Cub can always try again if they want.
