Personality Traits: Soft-spoken, gentle, and somewhat timid, Dawa rarely raises her voice above a whisper or her eyes to meet another's. Though rather shy even amongst her own pride, she has an impressive knowledge of illness, herbs, and medicines. Remarkably steady when her services are called upon, Dawa's presence has a calming effect on even the sickiest cub or the most injured lioness.

Physical Traits: Dawa is of average height and build. Her coat is dark and subtly marked, not standing out against some of the more vibrant lionesses of the pride. Her dark eyes are gentle and shy, but shine with a soft intelligence and wisdom.

Companion(s): Her companion is an African Civet called Rafiki who helps her gather and prepare herbs.

Currently: Dawa is eagerly waiting for the first cubs of Kiongozi; the first cubs born to the pride in many months.

History: Dawa was born into a large pride. Somewhat lost among the ranks due to her age, it was not until she joined Kiongozi's pride that her talent for healing and herbs was found. Batuuli taught her what she knew of herbs, but Dawa quickly surpassed her. The pride was happy to send her to the tutelage of the snakes and baboons who were allies to the pride so that she could learn more of herbs and medicines. As time passed, her skills grew and her presence in the pride was more and more valued.

While Dawa's skill at hunting was only passable, she more than made up for it with her ability to treat injuries. Under her care even the elderly of the pride were in as good a health as could be expected. Her herbs and care made sure no infections were lasting and even damaged bones healed well. As such, she is often allowed to stay near the safety of the main pride and avoid the rigors of hunting.
